1280x1024 = really CPU test...difference in practice gaming is lower after this.
I can live with a few games having a bottleneck with FX83xx,it's not a big deal. Who just games with highest end GPUs and needs absolute maximum will buy intel of course. I don't so I don't care about that ;). Oh and when I DO game I don't play at low resolution with low image quality ;).
Informal. Look at my second chip :D. Beast.

Great sample Flanker :). Is that water cooling setup?
yes, but only AMD watter setup, not custom, so "lowend" for validation I think the same as with good aircooling
Holy mother of...
Are we going to see these chips hitting 6Ghz in their lifecycle?
AMD FX-8350, FX-8320, FX-6300 and FX-4300: All Vishera Processors in One Review - XbitLabs

That said, the appeal of AMD processors with Vishera design is not really in the advantages of the Piledriver microarchitecture, but in their low prices. In this respect, the two models in the middle of the line-up, FX-8320 and FX-6300, look best of all. These are the processors we would recommend checking out, if you are not discouraged by higher power bills. And please keep in mind that AMD processors perform best in multi-threaded tasks, but they are not as universal as Intel products. Therefore, Socket AM3+ platform probably won?t be a good choice for everyday use, and will best fit into an inexpensive workstation system.
w00h00 Flank3r nice chip^^
I think, this chip maybe with 1.65V can hit 5800 with this cooling :D
What cooler?
flanker, crazy cpu! what week and default volt?
what he said^^^^ :)
show us pics of yur bench setup
^^^^ What they said.... :D
Sweet Chip Flank3r!
Is it a newer sample (week/batch code)?
Have you done any stability testing with it, and if so, what are best daily clocks?
My 8350 is pretty average (~4.8), if the newer weeks are showing serious improvements I might get another one (like I need another CPU :zombie:)...
i hope the newer batches are getting better, im still sitting on my 8120, and itching for a 8350
maybe they will make a FX-8370 revision or a TWKR version ;) jk
How looking PC station for 5711 MHz with 1.565V at CPU? Nothing special!
C5F-Z
FX-8350 1229PGN (again the same batch)
cooling AMD liquid cooler (so similar as Corsair H70 or H80!)
ambient temperatures around +20-21C

Yesterday me with friend frozed my first Vishera chip (validation "only" 5510 MHz with 1.575V) with LN2...Looks not bad :)... Playing Quake III more than one hour with 6 GHz for people and max. Czech clock was finally broked :)

Hehe playing games on 6Ghz Vishera for an hour :D. You are crazy Flanker! Good work and great CPU :).
btw. look in to my thread ,-)....
So that antec/Amd cooler (kuhler 920) got you 5.7 ghz!!!???
yes, exactly, I had 5735 MHz, but validation is wrong...
Yep, I've got a giant itch to pick up one of these now.
As soon as I sell my Sandy Bridge stuff...then I'll play with this a little and sell it for some Ivy >_<
