Hi Stasio !
I Updates to this New BIOS .
I have still Problem with oc if oc faild (to hard overclock) the Board somtimes goes into a Loop (on-off) also i have some Memory issue i have many diffrent memorys but with this BIOS Version its pretty hard to reach hi mem Blocks (sorry on the Asus no Problem See my WR Tread Maxxmem)
ok thanks
ive recently updated to the latest bios on UD7 and backup and no longer get funny OC fail. Bios guys are concentrating on improving it so i will let you know if i have some new updates in future
Thanks Dinos :)
Us UD5 owners need a new bios too with PLL and better LLC :( UD4 and 7 have gotten new betas but not UD5 yet :(
Hey I say, we all start using the UD3P like it used to be. That's my two cents though lol. I'm getting the only board I could find right now tomorrow for my new 2600k and new Corsair DDR3 2000MHz 2 x 4GB memory setup.
I'm super stoked!
If it isn't all that great at overclocking etc. the motherboard, Ill get a UD7 and sell this one.
I recently purchased the UD4 motherboard. I haven't mentioned any problems such us infinite reboots, vcore related problems etc. I was able to boot 54x with my 2500K.
But,
I can't put the controller in Raid or AHCI mode either. It stucks at the "logo bios sceen".I am using f7h Bios.
Have you guys experienced such a problem?
Problem solved..with f8b bios!!
OMG so glad i found this thread, I've been having SOOOO many of the issues described throughout this entire post.!
2600k/UD4/ RipJX's 2133 c7
One thing i see miahallen mentioned is running the sticks on 2/4 instead of 1/3, i might give that a go..
But so far i cant even get it stable at stock with my ram at spec, only at 1600 C9 on ANYTHING clock wise will it be stable
But even at 4.5 i start running into errors after several hours on prime blend.. rounding errors.
Temps are about 75c MAX load which was using 1.356V core attempting 4.6Ghz using the Noctua NH-D14.
I am litteraly losing my mind with this thing, two days after i got it my mom passed away, and this was going to be one of my things to keep me busy.. and it sure has, but not to my delight.
Also, have went through bios of all sorts, trying all "recommending" things i've seen, only thing i got to run anything past 8hrs prime was 4.5 and that took 1.320 minv "with drop"
with the ram nerfed at 1800 9-9-9-28 1T @ 1.5vdimm
New F8B seems to be working well for me.. finally passed all other marks of time on blend with ram at spec , currently at 4hrs - 4 to go
edit: I also took the advice about running the sticks in slots 2/4 dont really know if it helped or just new bios.. but things are looking more my way
I love this motherboard guyz..:D
I am playing 4 days with my new toys..an i am very satisfied with Her OC behaviour.

Got one of these on thursday with a 2500k nice board so far no issues to report, currently running 4.7gig at 1.35 no issues what so ever :D GG Gigabyte
Hmm; I am not one of the lucky ones with this ud4:(
Stable in prime, occt, linx for hours. 4.8 1.39 stable temps 60 load. Great once i am in windows. 2600k ht off. Works like a charm in wondows, not lock-ups bsod etc.
Issue that has been there from the start; is cold boot issues. All bios from the 6's, 7b etc, to 8b, etc it is there. If I leave my pc for a day, turn it on it hangs on cold boot up and I have to open the case put the jumper on and clear cmos; re-load my profile and boot up and it is fine. It is an absolute pain in the a__!
I am only using intel sata 3.0 slots, memory is 1866 1.60v, cls 9 and passes memtest.
I have heard asus has had the issues, but fixed them; looks like others have had issues with six series gig boards too...looks like the dual bios is too sensitve?
This needs fixing...
Have you Updated the backup Bios to?
WOW...I put the UD4 back on the bench today....the new BIOS seems much better at recovering from a bad OC....or for accepting OC setting quicker
However, my max OC went from 5.2GHz to 4.7GHz :shakes:
@miahallen Make sure that you have PLL override enabled..
Tried it both ways :-/
