On the voltage settings try choosing Shuttle SB61G in the voltage configuration tab and you will get the right readingsQuote:

this thread will never die. lol.
MBM uses bios settings, does your bios read the same as a multimeter? that's what counts.
not from molex, but that's normal. ;)Quote:

reads about 0.2V lower, from the volts that are lost across the ATX connector/power regulators ;)

whaaa????Quote:

i'm talking about the 530 fortron in my A64 rig not the shuttle XPC with my p4 2.6c.
ok i checked and saw what you were talking about. i tried all the 1-4 settings and the shuttle setting and none were accurate. mbm5 is a joke.
apparently it doesn't at least not on my board. none of the possible settings for voltage are accurate.Quote:

MBM doesnt use any bios settings at all, thats why all those configuration options are there.
I meant, that if you setup the correct settings, it should report the same as your bios.....or it always did for me....?
Should is the operative word.
Is Thoose Aopen FSP350 60Pn the same as Fortron FSP350 ?
Sure looks like it on the outside.
Best one i found in sweden is FSP400W for 985svk.
Or the 550 but that was expensive almost 1800svk.
Aopen=fortron=sparkle --same manufacturers anyway
Thanks.
Maybe you can say if thoose aopen has got 3.3V rail adjustment to?
I choose between 350W/400W and 550W.
MBM gives me values almost identical to BIOS on my BH7. A new version was just released btw.
This is really an amazing PSU for the price. Adjustable pots and STURDY rails. I think I know my next sub-$100 upgrade :D
awesome thread!
read from the molex before you trust the bios.
As i can't get the FSP 530 in sweden i might buy the Aopen 550 instead. I read that it's the same manufacturer for these psu“s so the Aopen should do well? Anyone know if the Aopen 550 has adjustable rails like the FSP 530?
The 550 is for server, have two 12 rails. have to get a extra "cord". And the 5v and 3.3v are not that good, think you are better of with a FSP400.

Then i might just buy an Antec psu instead. Someone want to help me out choosing a good psu? :)
I have heard some realy good things of the fsp350 so dont take the fsp400 out of your list just yet, serch the forum for it. I think you havnt that much to loose by trying one of them they are cheap.
Some guys wroth that they was even better than the antec supplies, hold the line much better, and from the reviews i read they seem to be good to. Something more that is a big + is tha adjustable rails inside the psu, not like trueControl where you just can yurn them up a noch. But the fortron seem to realy go much higher.
This is what i have read of the forums but i have not tryed them myself, but i have one ordered.
Not trying to fool you, but i may be fooled myself....
I have a 350w Fortron Source powering my 2.64GHz A64 3200+ atm and it's rails are solid. The 400w FS is even better so you are speaking the truth. FS/Sparkle/anything with FSP in thier model number just plain kicks ass. :D
The guts in the 350 and 400 are probably nearly identical to whats in the 530.

Is this the PSU in question?
$119??? That's a little Xtreme... :( NewEgg.com is still the best place to obtain one of these guys.
Hmm, $67 at Newegg, just a shame they don't ship to the uk :(
So a 400W Sparkle (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatal...arkle_148.html) gonna be modable?
