Great! But wanna see LinX run on 5Ghz with HT!

So what are these bad boys running at under Single Stage Phase cooling ?
I'm guessing/ hoping the 990x results we're seeing so far are just the right chips in the right hands. They are still B1, so I don't see how there can be anything special going on, other than the improvements in the most recent batches
It will be interesting to see these puppies in real action.
I'm afraid Intel is repeating the old trick. First made everybody to buy a "cheap" SB, and then releases an "expensive" monster that nobody can resist.
Hey guys, lets see if they can do 5GHz+ on air. :D
Very interesting
open box 980x are now less than 800.
i've seen them go for 650SHIPPED even.
1.1k for a 990X and a open box probably goes fr 900 shipped or so.
not a bad price for chips now. SB needs to get fixed and get some new chips out already
to bad mate ,,make some time ;) and let the 990x fly like hell
new toys :D

umm 17 degs cold? Well, maybe inside the house.. but we just had -20 degrees C outside a while ago. And that's nothing special. :D
Wow air cooling
Very nice. ln2 cooling to expect a great score. ;)

me too ! but i didn't try higher, i will tonight http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1696317
SB can run away
u know 32nm isnt anywhere near as durable with voltage as the 45nm and 65nm were.
I hope those are for quick benches.
All this is moot on a EE cpu which has everything unlocked from ram multi to QPI multi.
I asked a few of the guys at GooC what the best is, and they said go Multi OCing.
You get better latency from what i heard, and if u need faster ram speed, just up the multi on the ram.
The higher Bclk u have, the higher VTT u need, and u really dont want to push a lot of VTT on these guys.
PC:nice, u are crazy, 35V to the chip ,-)....Love this bugs :D. Now u are +300 MHz better than mostly 980x.
Batch# 3045A752. Seems pretty much the same as my 980 except it requires lower voltage below 4600 Mhz. Just mounted it so the paste hasn't settled yet. Air cooling.
after 15 min of playing with my new 990x. :p:
hope to get some decent numbers this weekend. :D
