Wait for X58A-OC board, it should be available soon. And it's a lot better.
It might be better inn many ways, but not when it comes to the color.. It's going to look a lot better when water block are made for it :D
Do you have a ETA on the boards.??
Previews are being posted already... So I guess it should be out in 2 weeks or so.
does anyone know if i need a bios update to f5h for the ud9.
my slots 1 3 5 aren't working properly and i had to use slots 2 4 6
i can't want to run a quick OC test option but i need these stupid antenna's for the dlink card.
less and less 1366 mobo's are coming out now so sad but the 990X just released!!!
In case of 3 sticks : I hope you used only the white slots for the triple channel config... and didn't try to boot with your 3 sticks in the blue slots... if you have all slots populated that's another thing
What are you talking about ? Gigabyte releases 3 different types of gamers mobos and one special OC edition. Asus and MSI similar specced Game edition ones. I'm really looking forward to the OC edition of Gigabytes mastermind Dino... or was it the Cookie ?
It was our best friend Cookie :D
For 24/7 if you want 4-Way, I'd still recommend the UD9. The X58A-OC is lacking in connectivity (which I welcome as I use very few of the IO slots on my UD9, two to be exact).
It has some higher quality components (such as the phases around the socket) and some other sweet stuff. I can't see it making much difference for 24/7 though.
Does anybody have trouble getting a bootable USB to boot with this board? I have this board, it works great but for some odd reason I cannot get a bootable USB to boot off before it enters Windows.

I usually unplug everything else or hit F12, go to HDD, and find your flash drive there.
Rumor is that it's going to be priced similar to the UD5, though it will not Have any NF200 chips as most expected. This means 4-Way Crossfire will be possible, but only up to 3-Way SLI.
F5L BIOS is released. http://forums.tweaktown.com/gigabyte...beta-bios.html
Also, anyone else notice that the 12v PCI-E (top) molex power connector blocks the use of the silent heat pipe? Seems like a pretty obvious oversight!
that is why you have two different connections on the board
Hi Guys,
Have rebuilt my system in a Mountain Mods Extended Ascension Case with a new i7 950 @ 4.6Ghz on a UD9 with F4 bios.
You can see my build log here >> http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=267140
Here's my Vantage bench with board settings.
CPU idles at 40c and max at 88c.
Anyone got advice for how to reduce temps a bit and keep 4.6Ghz?

Whats wrong with @BIOS? How much easier can it be to launch @BIOS in Windows and a couple of clicks your done?
Not really, especially if you just bought the motherboard brand new and then you'll have to install Windows, very inconvenient and very annoying.
Without to install Windows use FLASHSPI.EXE.
