Cellshock stopped making ram over a year ago (or even longer, don't remember).
What makes you say AMD doesn't like high Vdimm? Never had problems with my crosshair III and 2.25V om my D9GTR's.

Zeus small question would it be possible to drop to 200HT and 1600mhz rams with C6-6-6-18 and C7-7-7-24 plz and pm me a piccie of the Overdrive memory tab ? I've got some serious issues with my CSX sticks on both the MSI GD70 and UD5A Giga mobo... needing 2.2-2.3Vdimm at whatever timings I put in... some subsetting on the Asus makes it more compatible with the D9GTR's
Hey bro. Yes, setting 200ht and DDR1600 is possible (1:4 divider) but cas 6 requires a truckload of voltage on the Diablo's on AMD i found. You'd rather run 7-6-5 if your ram will run trp5, otherwise try 7-6-6.
I could make a screen of the memtab of overdrive but i'm not using the Diablo's atm, i'm using the Dominator GT's right now. Try Tfrc as loose as 120ns, that might be the one holding you back, 90ns might be too tight if that's what you're running.
I could run my Diablo's without problems with all subtimings at auto, apart from trfc, i ran trfc at 90ns, with primair timings at 7-6-5-18, Trc 24.
If you still want that screen lemme know mate. ;)
if possible give me the auto settings of the bios (just set C7-7-7-24 1T, rest AUTO...)
I've even been to 160 trfc to lower the volts, even tried increasing the strenghts. I need 2.25 for 1666Mhz C7 action to be sort of stable... 2.35 for C6 action at that speed... I've seen some maxxmem screenies and it seems the write score on the Asus is below the MSI and Giga mobo... just looking for something to report to both companies to enhance compatability with older ram... with a bit of sacrifice in speed...
Thx Neighbour
If you can, adjust Dram ref voltages. +12,5mV can make quite a difference.
Here's the overdrive mem screen:
What do you think about this ram guys? It sound cool, I can get them almost half the price I paid for my Corsair 3x2GB i7 kit

these don't work well with tight latencies so won't be good for amd i suppose
They must be the new Samsung chips. Don't work with tight latency? I see 6-9-6-24, that's not too slack other than trcd at 9 imho.
Thank you for your reply, what do you mean by they don't work well with tight latencies? 6-9-6-24 2000 is not tight enough or they don't work at declared latencies well? If they can run with AMD 1800 6-6-6-18 1T for 24/7 like Dominators GT I can sell Corsair memory and return some invested money in them because third module collects dust and G.Skill is really nice priced...
Well, I have placed my order so I will find out in two days how they perform...
EDIT: Thanks Zeus, I was wondering what chips are under the hood
performance with 6-9-6 is same if not worse than 8-8-8 , cas doesn't make much difference
proxis is right, tRCD is the crucial timing here and it's far more important than tCL. Performance wise it is a big no go, but it let's the memory scale nicely on Intel IMCs.
Cele303, I don't think those will outperform your Dominator GT, but anyway I'm looking forward to your results as I wanted to get myself a kit of these as well just to play with.
tRCD 9 is the stock timing, maybe with some increase in voltage it's possible to get it down to 7 or maybe even 6? Of course not at 2000 but maybe 6 or 7 is possible at ~1800? I would love to try a set. :)
Thank you guys for your replies,
I will return my feedback when they arrive since you show some interest... My hopes are 1800 6-6-6-18-24 1T, with GT's I have them 1.70V stable for 24/7, so if they perform similar for less price, I'll be happy or if they suck I'll get rid of them :)

this G.skill sticks are low voltage but if you let it in default in Crosshair III
it uses very high vdim i've even seen 1,78v at 1600MHz 7-8-7-24 2T
default Rated.I would not recomend this sticks even tough ocing 790FX & Eco series, you can expect everything but do not expect greater frequencies
than 1800MHz and do not expect low voltages as they claim at least not
with AmdRD790 K10
Here they are, just arrived home, I will try them soon...

Looking forward to your testing cele303
heh.....first off way to much vdimm.
second with less than 1.6v on 790 FX

Damn, first default boot and something is bothering me already :(
Check out xmp profile -> 6-10-6-25 1T  I have one spare i5 and i7 to test them properly, is this false advertising (6-9-6-24 2T ) or what? :( Should I return them if they can't run advertised timings with Intel?

I say just lock it in and test however I would not expect miracles on AMD, if gskill thought they would do well on amd platform I'd likely have a set.
D9JNL@2.4v can do 940 cas 6 unstably 900 cas 6 is 1m stable but fails horribly at 32m

chew* has kinda helped me alot with ram so if he says no its a no
Looking forward to your results Eric but i seriously doubt these sticks can do what the Dominator GT's can. I hope you will prove me wrong mate. ;)
Thank you Eugene for your interest but I won't prove you're wrong hehe :)
I will get rid of them ASAP :D
After benching all night long with MSI I'm now at my work with my Giga and sticks are ultimate crap for AMD, I will give up on them, go home to sleep and switch to Intel after, now I hope sticks can't run advertised timings so I can return them with good excuse :) At least now I know why they are 40% cheaper than my Dominator's :)
I was thinking that tRCD will give me trouble but CL is killing me...
1333 -> cl7 1.65V, up to 1.90V nothing helps
1600 -> cl8 1.65V, up to 1.90V nothing helps
1666 -> final boot whatever timings, dividers and voltage used
So, this are tightest timings with 1.65V, up to 1.90V and different dividers nothing helps

What did I tell you? :p:
Thanks for the test, interesting to see they're having problems with tCL instead of tRCD.
Is 1800 6-6-6 still possible with this kit or is corsair just binning those chips now and putting the 1800 6-6-6 capable ones in the $200 stick GTX2's or whatever?
