Understood. It certainly took me more than one hour to reach my best OC, so we all hope to see big numbers from you soon.:)
We all look forward to your updates!Quote:
Anyway, I will post my final over clock tonight after work. .

I received my D0 from ebay this afternoon. I'm still learning the ropes on OCing this architecture, so I've not touched any voltages yet. So far it's Prime stable for 15 minutes at all stock voltages at 4.0Ghz on my Bloodrage GTI. Temps seem to peak pretty quickly and level off at 65C with HT enabled. I'll play more tomorrow. The batch on this one is 3849A895.
I'd post a screenshot, but this site doesn't seem to make it easy anymore... I'll have to look around for a free host.

Ya can Photobucket for image hosting. What is stock voltage for your chip?
I have the same batch and the bigger brother of your board, you should be able to go a lot higher. If you are on air it may be tough to hit 4.5-4.6Ghz, but 4.2Ghz should be within your grasp. I was doing 4.2Ghz (turbo and HT on) at 1.29v vcore without much tweaking.
Default voltage will vary from board to board, but on mine it was 1.23v with it set to auto. Since we do not have VID's with the I7's it really depends on your board on what the default voltage would be. The better question would be how low can you go on voltage at stock and still be stble whether you define that by OCCT or Prime95 for 15 hours or whatever.
My D0 only needed 1.25vcore and 1.30vtt at 4.09Ghz (21x191) and it's LinX/Prime/3D stable, underload in LinX is 77~79'C. At 4.30Ghz (21x205) it needed 1.325~1.33vcore and 1.35vtt also LinX/Prime/3D stable stable but underload temperature shoot up to 88~90'C, getting to 4.3~4.4Ghz with HT on isn't hard but keeping the heat under control with air cooler is a big problem. I'm planning on getting a watercooling setup for this rig and most likely will go with two radiators and a single loop in my HAF932, it will most likely go like this: pump->top rad->cpu ->bottom rad->res->back to pump.
I'm on water here. Fuzion V1 and TFC360. Load temps under linpak touch 67C at 4.0 with the stock 1.23v and HT enabled. I'm surprised to see how much less extra heat the i7 generates with Linpak vs prime when compared to core2 cpus that I've owned in the past. I'll push more tonight :-) I'm a little disappointed to see that the GTI didn't include a NB fan. I'll probably have to pick one up. I upgraded from P06 to P07 this morning as well, but haven't tried pushing it further. That change somehow cut 5W off of idle power consumption though.

Just received my 920 from Compumusic and it is a SLBEJ:D Can't believe I lucked out! It's going on my BR. I want to see if it can stay with my Classified.
Congrats tripgood!
A single PA120.3 radiator is about all you'd need for a CPU+GPU setup, good blocks, and 1/2ID tubing. A second rad would probably shave off a few more degrees, and few more beyond that if both parts are heavily overclocked, but I've never had an issue with temps even after overvolting my GTX 260 and running it overclocked in the same loop as an overclocked Q6600. Looks to much of dimenishing returns to invest in a second rad for my loop, I'd rather spend that kind of money on better parts. :)
Nice going Tripgood. Does the BR support Vista S3 sleep mode? Early reports have it that only the G15 BIOS does, but that was as of early March. I'm thinking of getting a BR but S3 sleep mode is a must, and at full clock speed, at least 4100 CPU clock. Can you verify?
I do not believe that it works on P06 or P07 bios, but check the Foxconn thread and see if Benchzowner knows.
Bench is the guy to ask about sleep mode. My rigs are on test stands and they are either on or off.
My preliminary findings on D0 in my Classified and BR are interesting. So far, the 3845B027 in my Classified is destroying the chip I got today from Compumusic. It's a later week (3849A846 installed in BR) and I don't know yet if it's the chip or the board. For instance, I need quite a bit more vcore and vtt in BR to stabilize @211 bclk turbo on. I'll try switching chips next. I don't like the way the bios (PO7) in BR automatically boosts vcore when using turbo. Classified does not do that. Anyway, these D0's are much better performers than all 6 of my various C0 chips.
Yeah I use P06, seems to be the best for the BR currently. They are supposed to release a new one soon that Bench is testing that won't overvolt so much either. I am taking the night off of trying to get it stable at 4.6Ghz. I will play with it more tomorrow probably.
Ok, so I got board and was able to get 4.6Ghz stable, but it was at 1.46v vcore, 1.47v Uncore and I had to set PLL at 1.89v. What's really interesting is that I can run the chip at 4.2Ghz with only 1.26v Vcore, 1.24v Uncore and 1.80v PLL. Oh well, may have to look at the Classified or DFI boards if I want to go higher.
Mine should be here later today from newegg NJ, warehouse. Fingers crossed!
Just bought my D0 on ebay today. OP was 320.00 OBO so i offered 305.00 and got it. Model # is SLBEJ Batch # is 3849A895
Is this a good batch?
No. The 'good' batches ceased with the 3845xxxx. All batches after that are significantly slower than the week 45, ( 3845) and earlier.
Ah so you're the guy who got that one :D
I have the same batch, not too shabby so far.

That looks good to me! (coming from a Q6600 B3)
k guys... need some advice. I got 2 D0's and need to decide which one to try first: a 3849A895 packed 4/8/09 from pao_revolt (eBay seller) and a 3844A759 packed 2/20/09 from CompuMusic.
I've seen it suggested that earlier D0's performed better than pao's batch... any truth to that? should I try the 3844 first?
I haven't seen many 38xxB batches, but the ones I have seen were fantastic. I think the B's came from a different fab and are mostly for outside North America.

Central Computers in San Jose have them in. $299.95 no tax for this month. I'd wait for MicroCenter in Santa Clara to get them in since their current stock of 920s is pretty much almost gone.
The same with the Chicago stock. One store is down to 6 and the other 10.

get um while there hot.
I have the same batch as well. Mine needs ~1.3v to get 4.2Ghz prime/linpak stable with my WC setup. Linpak temps touch 70C. Additional vcore, uncore, and IOH don't seem to be helping my clocks at this point. I can bench 4.3 at this voltage, but not prime. Increasing the vcore and uncore to 1.45/1.45, PLL to 1.85, IOH voltages to 1.34/1.20 didn't improve stability. It just gave me more heat :-/ I'll have to spend some more time tweaking this weekend. I must be missing something...
