Not true. Enable Legacy USB and your USB drive will list like any other hard drive in your system. Just set the USB as the first hard drive and you're set.

I knew it was something like that... this board has a few issues... but I never had a problem booting from a USB stick.
I did have that weird issue where it would only boot if the USB KB/MOUSE were plugged into a certain USB slot. (The top most USB slot towards the bottom of the MB if IIRC.) I remember reading about people having all sorts of issues and I just thought that I was lucky. That is until I moved things and plugged into a different USB port. GADS... I was scared until I figured it all out.
Anyway now I'm on a new Gigabyte board. Sadly for some strange reason it is about 500 points lower for the GPU score in 3dMark Vantage than the A79A-S. (Both had to run at x8 for the PCIe.)
Anyway... wouldnt' you know I'd wait for months for a bios and they'd release one a few days after I bought a new MB. (I might try the A79A-S in one of my other cases laying around waiting to be put together.)
its a real shame they let this board fall through the cracks i'm still enjoying mine but i definately won't bother with an AM3 untill i am ready to buy a new board as well.
i got bios P09 if anyone is interested. not sure what the change log is for it, they sent it to me to see if it would fix some of my issues with the board and it didn't. the big one being that it won't post if you disable the onboard lan. this board has the worst bios on the planet. i could make a list as long as my arm of the things wrong with it. it clocks nice though, can run 3.6 with my 940 at stock volts 24/7 which is kinda nice
This bios was beta bios for X6 support, they didnt improve it a bit and slapped FINAL sticker on it ;-).It doesnt change nothing except working with X6 cpus.
On a side note, my jmicron esata ports seem to give CRC on writes, i cant go back to check with another bios as im on x6 as of now.Anyone having problems with jmicron on this bios ?
While not the best board it does have X6 support and does clock haft way decently.
