I Know It's High :( No Post With Lower Than That
Sorry For My Bad English
Thats a great 3dmark 06 score vivid.
going to purchase a q9550 this week to accompany a set of blade's (pc2-9200)....
problem is i want an eo stepping.... anyone bought q9550 from ocuk in the last couple of months....
if there is anywhere else in the uk that has the EO stepping id appreciate the heads up....
bump a dump......
I would guess that most all of the ones being sold now are EO's.
I wouldn't be so sure about that...the best way is to contact the seller and get the s-spec number.
Yesterday arrived my little new lego toy (UD3P) :D
couple of minutes later it was prime time

Very nice vcore monza, looks like you got a good chip. Congrats
nice overclock with low volts, push it more :)
just purchased a set of 9200 blades and a Q9550 from ocuk... i phoned and the guy i spoke to said he couldnt check the stepping for me....
i insisted and twisted his ear a little and he went off to check...
he came back 10 minutes later and said the ones he checked on the shelf were all SLB8V... which indicates they are EO stepping....
will be here first thing in the morning... i will not be happy if i recieve a C1...
i'm sat thinking he was just saying anything to please me... lets hope not...
purecain: Congrats and good luck with the new chip. I think the odds of getting a c1 are pretty slim now. I purchased mine from a very small local shop, they don't sell a lot of hardware and they had EO's.
the good news is i'm definatly getting an eo stepping... the bad news is they messed up my order....
the good news is i got my £12.99 shipping back, the bad news is i gotta wait till tommorrow for the delivery....
there you have it my friend..:D

That's a sweet chip you got there monza, Congrats!!!
Do you know the batch #? Also is that 1.35v bios? Thats what it took for my chip to do 4250mhz. I had to adjust the clock skew to 1000/1000/0/50 to get 4250 stable using 240b 5:6 on the ram. At a 200d/1:1 I leave the skew at 800/900/0/0.
Is this processor worth an update to a Q6600 running at 3.6GHz on an Abit IP-35 Pro?
Sorry Your Board Is Giga And Can U Get Me Some Information For Clock Skew what1000 And 1000 And 0/50 ???
My Mobo DFI Two Cpu Clock Skew 0 And 1
And CPU Amplitude I Set To 700Mv
I Stable Auto In 500 FSB But Somtimes Crash On 505 FSB In Bench
I Want Stable Over 500 FSB And Must Play With CPU Clock Skew And GTL
Can U Help Me Tanx
Sorry For My Bad English:)
vivid, under Advanced Clock Control on the UD3P board I set the CPU Clock Drive to 1000, PCI exe Clock Drive to 1000, CPU Clock Skew to 0 and the MCH Clock Skew to 50 = 1000/1000/0/50. Optimized default is 800/900/0/0. This is the only way I could get 500fsb stable using a 5:6 divider (1200mhz) on the ram. However I'm not sure if these values are safe so I don't run it like this. I use optimized defaults run the ram at a 1:1.
thank you m8  best thing is that I bought 2 of this chips, one for me and the other one for a friend and the other is just as good as this one. So it was a real lucky pick if you ask me :ROTF:
Batch number is L838B469, its a 1.25 vider
here are the other settings, I will recheck with lower volts later.

and yep, as you say the skew setting did the trick :yepp:
Well my 680i board just sold so I've ordered a P5Q-E and a Q9550 E0 - I've read many reviews which speak highly of this combination.
Re Q6600 to Q9550 - I'd do it, but the P35 might hold you back. The Q6600s still have amazing resale value, but not for long considering the price of the Q9550.
