My 2.4C Q31 and with my Northbridge watercooled I can do 3.8 GHz stable... It runs 2D benchmarks up to 3.9 GHz but I think my mobo/memory is holding me back. ;)

Edited... Follow the link for a few benchs at 3.8 GHz. :)

If I had such a great chip/board combo I'd be running benches immediately to beat my old scores and seeing what she'll do. I wonder if Kenneth is going to reply at all now ?

I'll share something with Y'all my 2.4C L310A735-0101, is awsome, but my inexperience as an overclocker prevents me from ameliorating all the bottlenecks from getting much above 3.7GHz on air. I'm taking out my 2.8C today, and installing it (now with IHS removed)

But what I want to say, is my 2.4C Q320A287, will also do 3.6Ghz at 1.525Vcore. I seem to have narrowed the problem down currently to my Maxtor DiaminodMax 9 PLus SATA150 (which I beleive isn't that much different in so far as having to set it at PIO Mode-4) or most likely my Abit IS7-E NB haivng no HSF. Reason being I fried my Epox after realizing there's reason Intel has instructed board makres to use the pink TIM, and ALL aluminum NB-Heatsinks, have a non-conductive coating under the surface. The "pink-goo" is not so much a TIM, as a conductive barrier. Anyone who'd like to arugue this theory, I dare to Lap the blue paint off your NB, Lap the NB-HSF, past the gooey coating just under the substrata of Nickel plating, and run your board. It will Fry. The NB-chip CANNOT be grounded to the mobo. The loops used to secure it cause a short.

I now have a New Asus P4C800E, and P4C800, and just replaced the pink goop with AS Ceramiqe. Be mounting the new one in an hour with a Danger Den Maze-4 system. (my Prometeia is finally en-route to Demark to be repaired by nVentive.) The only way to get that goop off completely is so use sand paper, I only hope I don't fry this board, or inhibit the NB perfromance in removing the insulation material, causing a ver minor current drain? Just FYI

2.4C@4.3G+ with just waterchiller coooling and only 1.5V Vcore and IC7max3 at over 360FSB with NO chipset cooling... come on guys we all know that overclocks like that are just not possible.

There are always better chips and better mobos but having such a huge leap over any other mobo (best I've seen on IC7max is like 310FSB with stock NB cooling - mine maxed at 305) AND any other CPU (at 1.5V I've never seen a 2.4C or 3.2C do over 4.1G - not even with R404 cooling) is just not possible.
