Omg, those memory and PWM heatsinks...

Wow, hanging computers and computer attached to the wall. The way that you're lying down and sleeping/playing is genius catawalks.
Hardware flash connector for MSI's mobos that won't boot after a failed flash.

Mr. "Graphics card": First Day of Spring Quarter.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03602.png
It all started while someone was cleaning out the dust bunnies. He decided to make use of an old heatsink.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03603.png
A graphics card was getting ready to go back to school. Week 1 of Spring quarter.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03604.png
While walking to school, he met three nasty screwdriver bullies. They popped off the graphic card's heatsink.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03605.png
He was unwilling to let go of his heatsink.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03606.png
So the big screwdriver gave the graphic card a good beating.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03607.png
He had to get to school on time. Just in case of another bunch of bullies ahead, he went to get his silver armor.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03608.png
And borrowed his big brother's heatsink.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03609.png
This time, he secured his big brother's heatsink with badass black threads.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03610.png
And armed with a threatening-looking fan.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03611.png
The graphics card was once again ready to continue his journey to school.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03612.png
Other PCI cards students were scared of him so they changed seats.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03613.png
Instead of being intimidated by the graphics card, the USB thingys were attracted to his big fan.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03614.png
So, the USB thingys were all over his fan for it vibrates when it becomes turned on.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03615.png
The graphics card thinks to himself, "This is the best lecture ever."
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...k/DSC03616.png
And the fan on the CPU heatsink died of jealousy.
The End
Have a wonderful quarter/semester back at school. :p
LMAO some of these mods are pure genius..the various coolin mods are my favorites of the bunch
here is my mod... slapped on a alphacool naxxxos XP waterblock on to my 260gtx + an old heatsink from a geforce 2 :D
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSCN1344.jpg
desided to put a 80mm fan on the heatsink to keep things nice and cool.
http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...s/DSCN1345.jpg
heres what it did to my clock speeds :D:D:D pretty good i would say the temps are around 30c constantly. the card has no volt mods :D

I want to hear luie tell another story YAY!:woot::wiggle:
Heh i like that waterblock GPU mod, Im doing the same to my HD2900Pro + I am putting 3 AMD 754 BOX coolers on the RAMs :D
How about modding 7600GS and adding some parts [MOSFET and a lot of capacitors, from really small to really BIG]?
MOSFET is from dead Gf6600, because comparing 7600GS and 7600GT, both by Palit, there was clearly one MOSFET missing ;).
The rest is mostly for fun, no spectacular results unfortunately, but I'm still working on it ;).

lol you need to improve your soldering skill tho :p
That soldering was done by a friend of mine, I'm still learning [slowly...]. It is not that bad - at least it works ;). And that was the main idea, not to do it perfect in every aspect :p:.
And now "the leg of the capacitor" [for voltage measuring] is not only on the PCB :).
In fact it is much more "clear" than that :

worked flawlessly :) [Commando; 100k VR + 8.2k resistor]
Man some nice Ghetto-mods in here :) Here's a small list of mines... With pics (clickable).
The famous 9800Pro-Keychain-mod :D

Installation of a VF1000 with a decent VRM-cooler attached (Stock heatsink)

Often stock-coolers really do come handy...
http://tweakers.net/ext/f/f6BZW3Lb9P...Avpd/thumb.jpg
Really mitched a notch there.. but it fitted and worked. As paste i used the stuff thats wrapped between the memory and the stock-cooler.. Really works well. Tightend it together with the screws and it works like a charm

Final result :D
This was more of an experiment ... :

Yes, attaching CCFL's towards my TFT. Used an old 12V DC powersupply of a cablemodem which delivered up to 1A. This was the result:

Pretty nice back then...

Soldering new caps on a fried 2600Pro...

Untill i figured out this was'nt the correct side of the card, my heatsink woud'nt fit no more :D
Later on, a boostermod, since the PCI-express slot cannot deliver more then 75watts:

Alot of people might wonder why the hell an Athlon 64 IHS was doing on a vidcard.. It would protect the core from being chrushed by my vapochill. Really cool temps, -29 at load / 1200MHz core. This was a 8600GT btw.

Dangerden Maze 3 waterblock on a X1950Pro with 2 screws :D
This was what I did last night.

Added a second 300 watt PSU and it works great. !!
ghetto mods when.....when most of your water cooling components came from home depot
LMAO! sirheck, that is freaking awesome.
while I was painting my HD cage and I didn't had a CPU in my secondary pc, I just created myself a kind of a Ghetto HD mount :p
