Now my strap is 333 I am having better stability results with that strap than 400. I have twister set to strong and the other setting set to disabled (cant think of the name of it but its the one that attempts to tighten the timings and instead messes them up) ....
I did some pictures yesterday.
I had by mistake set my strapp for 333, but my board HATES that.
I have been told that it is because it is one of the first reversions.
Running 266 Strapp I can get the board to work and OC, But Im still frustrated over how hard it is to Oc with this board :(
I WILL UPDATE with new pics if we spot any wrong/bad settings.

What bios version are you running? Also what ram and last I saw something odd in the reported vDimm and the set vDimm.
You set the vDimm to 1.90 which overvolts on my board to 2.0 and yet your dram voltage is showing 1.648 which is very low...

So.. for a beginner as in COMPLETE BEGINNER at OC, where do I start? I know my way around the BIOS but never OC'd before. Would like to get 4Ghz out of this chip and would like to get some tight timings using this memory. I thought I would post here since many of you folks seem to know what your doing and I would rather ask those of you who use the same board I have. If anyone has the same setup could you share some info as to what I can attempt?

I'm in pretty much the same situation as Hammer. I been reading this thread and you guys know what your doing. In the middle of my build. Maximus, Q6600 2gig Super Talent ProjectX 1600, XFX 512 8800GTS AD & 150gig RaptorX 500gig 7200.11 all bunged into a Stacker 831 running Xp pro(Haven't had much luck with Crapsta) Just trying to figure out my WC loop at the minute. D-Tek Fusion, Swiftech mcr220 on a mcp655. I'm only cooling the cpu & chipset atm. So I would be grateful if you could forward that pm on to me too and any useful links to get me started.

ATM Im running 420x10 primestable. 1,55 Vcore I think.
1.9 Vdimm and everything else increased to the max of the "green" indicator colours.
After a short atempt a few days ago I hit 4965 Mhz and Superpi stable at 4930 Mhz :D
But Im aiming for highest Prime stable and then I will find max benchable speed :D

I'm having same problem as infa and Smooth regarding Nvidia problems and high overclock. I'm running a q6600@3.6, 7,7,7,15 (2Gb Cellshock 1800's) 8x450. If I try bump to 8x475, I start to get nvidia errors and eventually bsod?

thanks and no problem guys. i just figured seeing a whole pile of examples of settings and such might be useful. there will likely be more OC Reports on this board if i can find time.
i just love the fact that Everest picks up all the voltages that it does, makes it so easy to have all of that information in screenshots. my first time with an ROG of course. i usually just get the Deluxe version and volt mod it ;)
3oh6 did those Corsair tests pass Memtest at the voltage and settings specified? Also what were your bios and real settings for 2.0? I have not measured the real voltage but it appears that the bios settings overvolt the ram a good bit.
You may have already specified that some where in your review but I didnt see it...
The reason I am asking is because I tried Memtest on my Crucials last night at 7-7-7-20 450fsb (1800mhz) and bios vDimm set to 1.9 and Memtest failed :(
Also I noticed you didn't go very high in the voltage testing with the Crucials only 1.95 as appossed to 2.15 with the dominators and the Crucials kept up at the same voltage.
Were you concerned that they would not be able to handle the voltage?
I suppose I am just trying to make myself feel better since I purchased 4 GB of the Crucials :)
no problem, i think it is in there but yes, my Maximus Extreme over-volts 0.10v at every voltage selection so 1.90v = 2.00v. the good thing is that Everest picks up the actual voltage so the voltage shown in all the screenshots is the actual voltage. i measured all the caps around the DIMM slots and they all scale with what the BIOS/Everest report for actual voltage.Quote:
