We'll sun was out and I've had some new parts come - still waiting on some more.

Still not got to grips with the D40 (so go easy on the shocking photos) - mind you, I've not had chance. Get over Christmas (our golden quarter) and we're into a new product launch now.

This is the stuff you can get from ChilledPC, it's nice and thick - kind double woven if I were to describe it best.

ATX24 pin, each braid done to a pair of wires. Dualbrain with his PC343B and Murderbox gave me the inspiration. Thanks guys.

Looks great... I have been thinking about sleeving the PSU wires for some time. Mekrel, sleeving the ATX connector is that easy ? Any tips to share ?

The BitsPower connectors is also great :)

Very easy, especially the way I did it. I just wrote down what coloured wire went where and if it was a double wire (Some pins have two going into them).

Then I take out two pins at a time, starting with row 1-12 and sleeve those two then the next two and so fourth until 1-12 is done. Then I but a small rubber band around them to keep them together.

Then do the same for the bottom row (13-24) as I did for the top. That way I know better where the wires go back into. Then once they're individually sleeved, 10mm braid over the top.

Heat gun is a must, lighters never get a good shrink ratio for me.

To remove them, I used an old tool from when I bought an ACRyan Morf PSU braid kit. I've used pins before in the past, but they're a pain as when you pull the wire out (which takes some tugging) they fly out and you have to find them again :ROTF:

I see... Guess I need to order the Sunbeam sleeving kit (4 tools) for the job. I read some guides and without any tool, you need to get 2 staples unfolded and push both at the same time, which is a pain in the ass so I didn't bother trying.

I have an ATX pin remover, as well as a molex one, and a safety pin bests them both, although the male molex one does work well(female, not so well).

Love the attention to detail in your build! Cant wait to see finished product!

where did you get those fittings from? bitpower? do they ship worldwide?

Got the proper tools to remove those connector pins? I sleeved a PSU a while back without the proper tools and i swore to never do it again for as long as I live!

Your attention to detail is amazing and although it is taking a while it will sure be worth the wait. Can't wait to see your finished product!

I gave a whirl to sleeving some ATX and SATA power cables but decided it wasn't worth the effort. Your work is even more impressive given my failed attampt. Great job.

I disruptfam, I bought these from Frozen-CPU in the States. I believe they ship world wide yes.

Indeed. I'm tempted to get a few, at least for the visible parts of my loop. for 10 fittings, it would cost me about 70$ + shipping :shocked:

I found mine at PPC's; their prices are usually cheaper than FrozenCPU's. Of course, I think EVERYONE's prices are cheaper than FrozenCPU's! :D

hm... only the ATX? Maybe 3 hours at all. I took an extension cable, that was easier than sleeving the original of the PSU. I need that extension anyways, because it is an ATX-Break-Function for my aquearo which accelerates, when temps might get too high or flow is decreasing. ;)

Those guys at MurderBox did this by mistake, and now it seems to have become the norm :slapass:.

Nice choice on those BitsPower fittings. I was also considering them, but wasn't sure whether they would create a good seal with the Swiftech blocks I'm using (Apogee GTX, MCW30 and MCW60).

I hope you manage to complete the build soon as I can't wait to see some pics of the finished case :D.
