I didn't put it right: I don't want to sign up for the beta testing ( I know it's to late), but I'm waiting for the release ( I assumed that you would launch a public beta version first, to be reviseted by a wider community) :).
Well, let's hope the closed beta won't be too long :P

Wish it would run Pro Tools LE. Hmmm maybe it will! although PTLE 7.3 checks for XPSP2 and throws errors when installed in compatibility mode... then won't uninstall cuz theres no way to make vista uninstall in sp2 compat mode :(
I'm willing to try it though if there are other performance minded pro audio buffs out there who like to load a game or two once in a while.

This thread is funny just because of peoples lack of understanding.
I think what some of you are asking for is Nlite, not a complete new OS. And if you just want the eye candy, go get Vista or Linux.

well I agree that some people like lighter OSes, however there are very very very many things being done with this OS that you could never DREAM of doing with nLite. For example the removal of ALL DRM from Vista is far more than nLite could possibly do in the next couple years.Quote:
