I hear ya. My MSI/E6400 is arriving on Friday and I thought my Team Xtreem ram would also be here this week but I just found out it won't be here till Tuesday the 11th.:mad: So I got desperate and lucky as Newegg just got GSkill 2x512 6400HZ sticks back in stock with 2 day delivery should allow me to mess around with the new setup over the weekend.Quote:

dogsx2 - no screenies yet as I've only had it running a few hours and have been looking for a way to get past the multipliers being locked. At 10X how exciting could it be. I can tell ya that the board is extremely stable @ 3.6 with a 1.37 vcore, it took 1.485 on the DS3 to reach the same clock. As well as the north bridge is extremely cool to the touch, 'bout 12 degrees cooler that the DS3 at the speed.
I'm currently testing on air with the stock cooler so I don't know where it will top out with decent cooling....

Using the shipping bios 7.00. I flashed 7.11 and saw no changes so I went back to 7.00...
It's dual priming now and I'm gonna let that run 'till morning. If all is well, I'll get it under so so water and start hammering it tomorrow...

I know the pics don't exactly capture a good picture of the board, but I was running the system while I took the pics so I didn't have time to do any wire management. I will post better images later when I clean up the case.

Why in the hell does this mobo want to set up my DVD drive (located on IDE2) in raid everytime I boot? It says to press any key to continue, I don't press anything, then it continues on to Windows. Mobo still boots faster than my DFI, but if I can figure out how to bypass or shut that off it would be better.

Nah, the chip can take up to 85 before it throttles. I would say 60 under full load is fine:cool:

EDIT: Here is how i got clockgen to work. I went into MSCONFIG and removed all the extra MSI programs like Digicell and dual core center. When I started windows I opened clockgen and it was able to detect my PLLs, choose ICS 954148 and you should be able to clock.
what about crystalCPUID...that has the ability to lower multi's, doesn't it?
