NF7 v1.2 has arrived...some pics

i didnt get any goody surprises from ups in my mail box :( maybe in a little bit? did u just get it? wow this board better make it by fri, with my fancy 15.85 3 day shipping shipping. i perfur fedex over ups, thats just me.

I got the email at 8:36pm cst, I just used ups ground since its free and I'm about out of money ! hehe (didn't rma my mb since it was my fault+ keep the bios and sata converter)

My memory wont be here till next week since I had to rma it anyway so Im in no hurry.

I got my email from UPS at 9:49pm EST. I'm pretty sure they got your's out too. From what I've seen their pretty good at shipping on time. ;)

8:16pm tuesday night, ordered the the NF7 1.2 on saturday night, and it still hasnt shipped!!... wtf is this? some rep sent me an email saying it will be sent out today and it hasnt yet..

I was just playing with my NF7-S and this is the result:

Twinmoss 512mb PC3200 (twinmoss chips)
Twinmoss 256mb PC3200 (winbond chips)
Volts maxxed out in bios - no vmods at all
Alpha PAL 8045 (with stock fan)
I had to change the fsb/ram divider to 5/3 for my ram :(

237mhz FSB (bios max) rockstable, Superpi 16mb, and now running RC5 for almost 2 hours, UT2k3 ran flawlessly for half an hour - and not a glitch. Guess I'm just plain lucky with my board... A lot of people seem to have troubles with them (they seem to die very easily), I had IDE-corruption probz also - until I raised the chipset voltage a bit. Also had to cut the spacers of the Alpha Pal a bit to fit - but now it's mounted without breaking anything :)

I know - mixing the ram isn't that optimal - need better ram, and cooling if I want to get more out of this cpu - can't get it higher than 2260mhz atm or winxp blue-screens or resets after too much superpi and misc stress-the-beast tests ;)
But that's somthing for when I have more time (not any time soon i'm afraid :()


PS: Temps in mbm in tray on the pic are +- idle - complete idle is 35 degrees (celcius) - stressed is max 43/44

Looks like you got a good board there. Keep tweaking maybe you can get it to run 237 sync. BTW they have posted a new bios with better fsb selection up to 250mhz might want to give it a try.

Be patient (easy for me to say) it will get here. I never got a email from excaliber saying they had shipped but went to their sight and it said "shipped" and UPS has sent me 2 emails with Tracking info. Funny thing they must have worked late last night because mine was picked up from excaliber by UPS at 9:43pm pst last night ! atleast thats what the tracking info says.

its now 10:18 pm, no email, no status change... this is horriable. should i be angry and in rage right now?

I'm sure they are swamped. You will likely get an email from UPS regarding your tracking number before your status even updates. It's only 7pm in California right now....and often tracking numbers come out late after UPS has made the mega pick up.

ARGHHHH BLAH.. lolz the rep lied to me at first. she said it shipped yesterday, then i emailed back and said i didnt get an invoice and now shes like. oh ok it will ship today (but it hasnt if it will) then and you'll get a tracking number tommarow.. wow, im really sad.

Wow, that was quick, thanks! Are there any other settings in BIOS to enable DC (other than FSB/DRAM equal) or is it automatic?

I am able to get into WinXP at 212FSB but am having trouble with the 3D benches above that. My computer freezes up ath that point. I think I am going to try SC.

no other settings to enable DC, set the fsb/mem ratio to 3/3, 4/4, 5/5, etc... for sync.
