thats not the set price, he was giving an example about how distribution would work.
Indeed, so for €200 you will pay $200+ ;)
Can't wait till the official launch, nice work hipro
100€... i hope that was just an example, that price is pretty steep.
I think considering all the work this man has done on this and where he has gotten himself with all the diff manufacturers and distrubitors, 100 sounds good to me, i gave up on bh-5 long ago my ram only needs 2.5 - 2.6 but if i can maybe incorperate it into my infinity and 2600 with ch-5 then ill order one just for all the work he has actually put into this idea and now it is about to take off..
Congratz on your acheivements hipro now for that powersupply I read about about a hundred or so pages back :P
well progress is nice. I am looking forward to getting one someday. I just hope it is before Vista!;)
Hipro, once their done, will you be willing to ship the maximiser to the U.K. por favor? I know LOADS of people who are very interested in it (me included) :D
Looks B-E-A-U-tiful :toast:
Hi there K.I.T.T.!

Hipro, can you now give the approximate final arrival date of the Maximizers (+- 2 weeks)?
Hipro5,i dont see DFI NF3,will the maximizer work on the DFI LP UT NF3 250gb,its nice to see the 8RDA3+ in there and no mods needed  ,still got one running, good board :fact: .Quote:

Does anyone know if the DDR Maximizer will fix the terrible low Vdimm problem on the ASUS A8V Deluxe Rev.2 motherboard? The OCZ Booster is not compatible with the board, will Hipros be compatible?
Do you know HIPRO?
indeed it will... it completley replaces the vdimm circuitry if i understad correctly.
gah, me wants where are you shipping?
Guys, I'll update as soon as I'm totaly ready.......and this day will come soon......ALSO some GOOD updates will be posted..... ;)
WHOOOTTT about time dangnabbit ;)
Good to see your product is finally finished hipro

By good updates, do u mean that we'll see some 300 2-2-2-5 runs?? That for me is a good update. J/k. Cant wait for these. I have a feeling this thing will be involved in some world records.
im hoping by good update he means available to buy soon.
What's anybody's best guess on the cost, if you happen to live in the United Police of Earthmerica? I've forgotten any talk about the price so far and am loathe to review the thread. Besides, that information is probably no good anyway :)
Gotta know how much to skim from my "save for a new car fund."
id expect it to benear or over $100...
dont expect to steal these, its a really high quality part that will be compatible for a long time now, also they are a niche product, maybe not the most practical, but they will be worth the money to alot of people here.
BTW im just speculating here.
Hipro5, is it still possible to use the maximizer when you got no dimm slot's left?
ONLY by soldering one cable(or two - VTT) on the mobo........ ;)Quote:

:woot: Thx for the fast answer, is it also possible to control the VTT by your maximizer on a motherboard that tracks the VTT itselfs(by shortcutting the VTT chip, or something like it)? The VTT-tracking on the DFI nF4 series is very bad... or does the maximizer fix's that already with out taking over the VTT-control?Quote:

Hopefully my question's are clear to you, I don't know how I can ask it more clearly.
You mean the classic 150nm stuff right? :slobber: :DQuote:

With two solderings and one screwing, you can feed UP to 4 x 1GB rams...... ;) :toast:
EDIT: Maximizer doesn't give a shi(f)t about how are the voltages on the mobo......It provides it's own, stable and solid.......EVEN if the mobo is incompatible with it, it takes the control of the Vdimm nomatter what BUT after that, the mobo will not work without the Maximizer pluged in(It burns mobo's Mos-Fets and take advance of the Vdimm by itself)......NOT RECOMENDED such a thing though.......I just mension that just for the record......coz you will need to RMA your mobo when you don't need it anymore after unpluging the Maximizer(mobo will not work anymore - no boot) and that's unethical..... ;) :D
so even if the mobo isnt compatable itll still work? cool, could be fun on old hardware going for that last WR lol.

Does it burn them ONLY when you use it on an incompatible motherboard,
or when you do not use the supplied DIMM and use the soldering method instead,
or does it ALWAYS burn them, no matter what motherboard or method you use?
Freddy
its works in the same way as the OCZ DDR booster/.... in same cases your motherboard might be damaged; supplying like 3.5v+ to your memory when theres a mostfet connected and trying to output like 2.7v sometimes ends in dead components (mosfet = die);)
Whatever method you use(soldering/pluged module), it burns them - ONLY onto incompatible mobos......IF someone has an incompatible mobo with the DDR Maximizer and he STILL wants to work with it, a perfect method is to UNSOLDER the Vdimm Mos-Fets first(or lift a leg of it) and then plug/solder the maximizer......Afterwords(after the testings) he can resolder the Mos-Fet back and it will be as he was before.... ;)Quote:

DDR Maximizer will come out in three colours(for now)......Black front face(most of them), Aluminum anodized front face(Lian-Lee colour) and Golden front face
ALSO later on, someone could buy an "upgrade kit" for his Maxi.....Upgrade kits will be: Front faces, Blue led displays+blue/red dual leds, and PCB's.... ;)
That's all I can say for now.....Thank you for your patients guys..... :) :toast:
wwwwwwwwtfff i just skimmed through the entire thread and the maximizer is still not out.....its been quite some time now
anyways excellent work!
Any word on the release of this gift from the gods?
I wanna get one but I doubt if Ill be overclocking when Im in my 80s EDIT: :bounces:

Well, perhaps he's one of our older members and was born in 1926. That could be the reason for being afraid of not seeing the maximizer until he reaches his 80s and for not adding any smiley at the end of the sentence. :DQuote:

I'm afraid the demand for this sweet product will far out weigh the supply. Even after they ship it will likely be very difficult to get one.
Hipro... what are the chances of you making this pretty much mainstream... I mean for sale at places like newegg, zipzoomfly, Frozencpu ect.?? Or are we going to have to place order directly with your companies?
Also... where's the update? :stick: :D

does DDR2 really need that much volts? With M2 socket approaching, DDR will be dead.
actually some DDR2 benifits from 2.8-2.9v even.
Micron Fatbody D9 comes to mind, this stuff will take 2.5v all day.
maybe he is refering to this postQuote:

I'd say: We should stop all the talking about the delay. We all know that Hipro does his best to release the Maximizer as soon as possible, regardless of all the drawbacks he had and perhaps still has to suffer from. So let's just be patient and hope for the best. ;) I mean, we all know that he's one of the best. Our community needs poeple as persistent and as innovative as him. He needs the time so let's not complain about it. I think we can't even imagine the problems he was faced with.
I hope you understand what I mean. :)
I understand completely. My post was in responce to hipro5 acting like he doesnt know what people are talking about when the word delay is mentioned.Quote:

As for DDR2, the Maximizer can supply them up to 2.85 - 2.9Vdimm.......and yes they may need that much...... ;)Quote:

AFAIk price has yet to be determined.
say hipro, wasnt the max DDR2 voltage initially 3.5v?
we all know how much we hate generic ram
This thing is worse then DNF....

No, it's ONLY ONE model(version) of the DDR Maximizer........The unit supports DDR/DDR2/DDR3 rams.......The only thing a user can do later on, is to buy a DDR2 or a DDR3 PCB(which plugs into a ram slot of the motherboard) and upgrade his Maximizer with a very small amount of money.......There will also be DDR Maximizers with DDR2 PCB by default in the package, so the user can buy a DDR or a DDR2 unit ready.....If he buys a DDR unit ready and he wants later on(with the upcoming of the M2 and DDR2) to upgrade it, he will simply buys a DDR2 PCB very cheep......and so on for DDR3 PCB...... ;)Quote:

Hipro,
Has this been verified to work with the ASUS A8V Deluxe Rev 2.0 board? Does it work better than 3.0 volts?
U P D A T E .....
Update to Compatibility list...
Not Compatible with ASUS P5WD2 Premiun motherboard........It did NOT harm the motherboard BUT it didn't changed the Voltages - Tested up to 2.1Vdimm (not to blow up the motherboard) but the Vdimm was keep staying at 1.8Volts.... - It will work ONLY IF we unsolder the motherboard's choke which feeds the Ram modules and solder on it the positive wire of the DDR Maximizer, BUT we do not want to do so coz it's unethical and wrong to do a think like this....
Not yet but it will be tested soon.....Quote:

thats awesome, btw what if you have 4 x 512 mb sticks in your mobo?
what will i have to do because im (hopeing) to get 4 x 512mb UTT...
have been following the treads,
and I can understand that there is a lot of people
really interested in hipro's product,
and can not wait to get one in theirs hands,
but it seems that there is really lots of different between
having an idea , working out the idea and
most of all marketing the idea!
A lot of us (all the nuts heads) would think great idea
is all that is needed .
But with no idea one will surely be just norm.
And for those eager supporters, it take times to built
a good product, and time will tell if is worth waiting for.
(you are not using it for one month only are you)
btw hipro , a vdrop max of 2.5mv iS something,
imagine 3.3V +-0.075% with more then 100W of load.
like having a magnetic suspention in your car that can
jump 10M and nOt feel a thing !
:-)
we learn each step of the way.
Nobody talked about Christmas 2005 :P :P :PQuote:
