I will try tonight. You menitoned clockgen shows the divisor, but when it ran it did not show this, just the cpu multiplier .. is there another version or am I misunderstanding you ?
Without having something to show the divider and because i am using an nvidia card which will do 100Mhz AGP the only way I will be able to tell is to see if the hard disk corrupts. It is a Western Digitial 8MB 7200rpm .. what sort of Mhz do these go to before having problems ? 40? 43 ? 46 ?
As I have just managed to get it stable at 240x10 I will try tonight to see how far the FSB will do at x8 multiplier and also with memory at 5:6.
I'll have OS CD to hand just in case it is a 6 dividier max and my files all disappear :)

WOW fugger ..
4.352GHZ... This must be the fastest pc on earth :-D

ahh sry then...
Still can't seem to test this .. UGURU puts up the speed as much as you want perfectly until your cpu reaches it's limit at 10x but then changing multiplier with clockgen UGURU then allows the speed to be changed but CPU-Z shows the cpu is running at what it was before, so it is a catch 22 situation.Quote:

Nice 310FSB speed by the way, what board was that on ?

Took 0.38 sec off this week. Pretty happy with my time now :)

Ok, another one for Holland :)
Just installed my new 3.2c
Still testing and the Arctic Silver 5 still needs to settle but it's very promising so far.
a 49.22.
Finally broke the 50s barrier.
mem 209mhz 2.2.2.5 turbo
More to come...
From Holland too :D :

Sorry to bore you people, just have to post again an update :)
I'm getting more and more happy with this new cpu.
so far 4250mhz pifast stable with 1.75v. Mind you, run with a just started up prommie so nice and cool, which makes a difference of I guess some 6 degrees on cpu temp compared to after an hour or so running.
Just the fsb is higher, the rest same as before.
mem 5:4 2.2.2.5 GAT turbo
more to come....
looking great... btw. very nice bike!
Thanx
I like my hobbies
Well, otherwise they wouldn't be hobbies I guess :)
Noone else posting here in this thead?
Ok, I'll do it then :)
As far as I know the fastest published pifast time for Holland.
See above for specs, just 1mhz more fsb and .025 more vcore although I doubt that made a difference.
Update done, soz for update delay me has lurgy :(

Sorry no screenshot for now - pic is left on benching rig;) If somebody need a proof then i'll post it tomorrow.
FUGGER
Hmmm. I think that ~200 MHz have to give you more than 0.5 second... Strange... Maybe due to your lower FSB?
lol... Just checked - it is #10 in Hexus ranking... Maybe now i HAVE to upload that pic tomorrow:)
ALT-F13, you need a Canterwood mobo with that EE I think.
Because I think there is much more in that proc of yours. Either that or the extra cache doesn't make too much a difference in Pifast.
:( sorry lads not sure when next update will be
made a bit of a home goal, installing latest
Nforce drives on my shuttle (Developement machine)
the one I use for PIfast.
New drivers have borked it :( even safemode re-boots after
a few seconds :(
P.s ALT-F13 if you could post a screen shot it will save me
time Emailing you for one ;)
PMM:
I'm on the list, but no ranking..? Should be 42nd..
If it's the pifast version.. It is the same, only a different name of the bat file. We use it on another dutch pifast contest here: http://pifast.tweakers.net/ :)
It is the hexus bat, only renamed..
Hmmm, there goes my 2nd place now you revealed that :(

regenerate the ranking numbers in the spreadsheet.
It will correct itself once I sort out my PC problem:(
Again sorry to all for the lack of updating, but I have only
1 machine with the MS-software on and its that one I
borked installing new NVidia drivers.
Business as normal
Updated :)
Was not drivers after all  turned out to be faulty solder
joints on my ATI card for power connector, just happen to occur
same time as installing latest Nforce drivers spotted by chance
bit of soldering all good again thx god :toast:
PMM, glad it's ok again.
But no reason to say sorry. You are doing a great job and noone is paying for it so noone can give bad comments either :)
here is my score untill know , still burning in my new stuff ...

My ranking seems ok but my new time hasn't been updated.
My new time is 54.48 sec instead of 54.72 sec.
corrected another lurgy induced mistake from last week :(
Good new i'm better now :)
However if you spot any others let us know i'll correct them
quick sharpish.
here is my updated score still burning in thath §§§§ everyday its going fast and faster....

I might as well post this one:
http://upl.mine.nu/uplfolders/upload1/pifast_59s.gif
This may or may not be the top air cooled result, Caprid I think had one better on an air cooled FX51 but he did not post it as he was onto bigger and better things :)
Shame I did not get below 50s but still I am happy with this
http://www.aocb77.dsl.pipex.com/pifastnew.jpg
that's 1:1 at 256 with the memory and the memory was at 2-5-2-2 !!!!!!!! It only did 220 in my 875i at 2.85v ..good old Corsair XMS PC3500 ..beats Mushkin level 2 into a :banana::banana::banana:ed hat...

The new BIOS for K8V seemed to improve performance a bit, so far I've got 45.95sec at 263x10 1:1 2-2-2-6 1T
Yea ldt only makes difference in dragos =)
btw this junk 9800xt cant take AGP bus speed at all?? Wont even post at 235FSB on K8V
The highest I've been able to get 1M so far is 40s.
2.4c @ 3.42ghz
This has noting to do with nothing but why did ths person take my P4 picture and place it here (page 2) way back when?Quote:

Next issue, where do i find the Pifast benchie where the creen freezes so you can the snapshot?
http://alt.modlabs.net/pifast-4758.gif
Uploaded it at last... Hope Hexus will update me too...
im on the move again...1.70V and not quite good CPU contact
Ncie score JC, approaching half a second off your last score.
Have you topped 3Ghz yet at any point?
Regards
Andy
i can run 3Dmark car test at 3010 but not a whole run...1.70V just isnt enough hehe..CPU temp in BIOS was +3C which is not quite right...on the SK8V it should be -5 under load at least. It reads 10C higher than the SK8N
I had a 41.48 which completed just fine but froze after that at 3006 MHz
Damn JC..dat zijn zieke Mhzen!!Quote:

Thats great charlie, might as well stop there. ;)
You running dry ice again?
Yes, dry ice on the CPU and a new Baker18 R22 GPU rig....but 9800XT crashed and burned doing the green stripes and dots and dashes disease! SO I bench Pifast, lolQuote:

**** PIFAST ANNOUCEMENT ****
I ask this here before making my decision
I'm looking at taking a break from updating the PIfast
tables and I'm looking to see if anyone would be interested
in maintaining the PIFAST table?
When I started out it was Myself & M@TT for sometime now
it has been just me and i'm now at the stage where I'd like
to come home and not have to update the tables.
Plus I do not get the time to promote the Pifast Challenge as
I would like or even look into improving and converting over
to a more automated php system.
*The tables are just an MS-Excel file so you would need Excel
*Hexus supply the hosting for free as we use there Batch file as
the Standard settings for the PIfast Run as per how it was in the
days when Kain used to do the tables.
*You would Validate the submission prior to entry by making sure
it fits in the results allready received for the type of specs
supplied and to make sure the submission supplied is not created
with a newer version of PIfast I.e. 4.3 or incorrectly submitted
Series Computation time instead of Final Computation.
So anybody up for it?
I can understand that PMM :)
I hope someone can take over, not too many takers yet so far i see :(
To cheer you up, im finally getting close to 40s
http://users.pandora.be/JCviggen/pifast3032.JPG
Can't see it being long now till that 40sec barrier
is defeated.
Keep pushing JC
I must get myself one of those A64s soon :slobber:
Wow JC!
I just broke the 48 second barrier myself and that allready made me happy :)
first run on my new FX51 on ASUS SK8V
2941 mhz Ram at 235 have to work on it:D
Nice results Boys. Still holding out for the 939 pin variants here. It's getting harder though.
Better:
2977 Mhz Ram 238 cas 2-3-5-2 :D
This is with my new A64 and a gigabyte k8nnxp.
still improving:
2983 Mhz ram 477 cas 2-3-6-2
thats nr 2.
Go on JC push :D
Update in 5mins....
[edit] ok update done :)
And scaved another few hundreds off :)
I need better cooling to get much more though.
Still not bad for a stock prommie mk1 I think.
Thanx, yea. I'm 2nd in the r9700pro catagory behind the 6 months old score of JC. But my vc is bottlenecking me big time.
Hmm when I edit my post I can't attach files so another entry of me.
Again a bit faster :)
personal best :
http://users.pandora.be/gamer/PIV3/49.56.JPG
I knocked almost a second off my time using my old "dead' A64 which clocks 100mhz+ higher.
dang those A64 and FX´ are fast in PiFast.. Beats the living **** out of the P4´s
better increase the buffer a bit between Tom and myself..had to change multi and use slower mem :( I hate unmodded boards...
Opp would have to try pifast with his FX-51@3100MHz = 40s
I know, he doesnt like pifast, just like 3dmark... :( :p:
congrats JC !!!!!!!:slobber:
Finally broke into the 45's...
Tightened up the timings and got a little more clock on 'er :)

Some A64 action:
http://www.solidhardware.com/macci/a..._3015_4242.gif

Very nice Macci. :toast:
So it takes this sort of temp to pull those numbers with the A64. I've got to find me one of those cryo-freezers. Good point to start with hopefully.
amazing...now get running some 3Dmark slacker!! ;) I want to see the lobby scores at 300+
I managed a 40.1s with error in computation, this was the next best thing..also broke 3100 MHz for super pi, and highest screenie is above 3200 :)

http://users.pandora.be/JCviggen/superpi27.JPG
Man that's second fastest SuperPi 1M in the world! :toast:
Top stuff JC :)
you guys are mad:D holy crap, i thought you're on Duron chip macci! what are you waiting for, bench 3D! :) dang, your cooling is just too friggin amazing if you ask me:)
Very good benching by everyone, 40 seconds soon to be broken ?
It's a shame Superpi does not do tenths to give more granularity, but 27s is very very good :D
Is there a 26 then ? Was it a 5Ghz Japan score with Ln2 ( my guess, not been keeping up with it ).
Regards
Andy
26s run belongs to one of the Japanese tweakers with an FX-51 at just over 3.3Ghz. Can't remember if that was done by Mr. New Beetle or someone else though.
This is too much. :)
Awesome to watch though. A neverending race.

Maybe it requires a droop voltage mod.. ;)
