Haven't checked this thread in a few days. I am KINCAID_PC_BRYAN, not much of a mystery man, just don't post much. I go by my user name here on most forums but I couldn't think of anything good when I signed up for FAH awhile back and the name stuck. It has getting harder for me to keep pie lately, congratulations on everyone getting it.

yeah my pie has been pretty pathetic the last few days. my top cruncher went into a mystery sleep state for no reason, and it couldn't be woken up. i didnt even realize this until a few days later. also i couldnt get WU's for a while from that shortage, and was too lazy to keep pressing the update botton on every machine. but i think all is good now, time to recover from the huge RAC plummetQuote:

UltraVNC works a charm and is free.
I have my basement machine set up so I don't even need a monitor attached.
I reboot it once every couple of weeks while connected via UltraVNC just to make sure any memory leaks get recovered.
Wait three minutes and I can connect to it again tp make sure everything is up and running. :up:

All day I waited and watched... made sure my machine was always connected and never went idle, finally overclocked to perfection. Everything was perfect, turned in WUs right after midnight last night and right before the last update today. I was prime for my sweet silver slice - had my plate out and prepared... and what happened? Bob had to come back and run me over with his farm and Funkwagen even took my chance at getting some azz tonight. I mean come on! What's a guy to do?

i didn't set them to stock. but i was getting the Source "purple checkerboard textures" occasionally on some people's sprays. so i probably should at least clock them down a little, but i never crashed or really had any corruption besides that.Quote:

Sorry everyone for the slacking i am sure i could have got those 1.193 points by upping the shaders on my gtx 470 but i think i am having problem with it as it is starting to freeze quite alot in games.
@snoro I wouldn't say your a slacker ... I just wanted to see a full six figure pie some day :rofl:
Have you considered creating two OC profiles, one for gaming and one for crunching?
Most GPU OC tools give you an easy way to do this and it would get you better gaming and crunching :up:
SMTB1963 ... go to EVGA's website and download Precision ... then unlink the shaders / core (this is pretty easy button to see) and slide the shader up to say 1548 ... should be nice and easy, likely stable and will get you a little quicker runtimes :toast:
