Got all of mine back on WCG now...
The XS Xpress is gathering steam..
And i just replaced a single core with a dual core, will be replacing another single core tonight.
actually it's more like adding a dual core this time round,lol..........
the one I replaced last night was an old hp celeron 2.4 ghz single core it got replaced with a amd 3800 X2. The X2 it is much faster just on one core...........took me a bit to get both cores operating had to go into the os and load the multi cpu driver for 2000 pro. I should see a good improvement in points.
The one going online tonight is an opteron 165 dual core. should be as good if not better.

 headed back up!
Q9550 on the way for quad #50.:)
DDTUNG:cool:
My Q9450 is cruching along at 3.76, finally stopped tweaking it so I can just let it run now.
Edit: And I'll get a phenom system crunching soon, I have 2x1gb sticks and an Opty 1356 coming in on Wednesday or so. Just gotta hope its as good as the 165's were for that generation.
Its on a TRUE, 50C load when the room gets hot during the day and 47C at night. It has 1.325v set, but its at 1.24 while crunching. Its been going for 4 days now, I think its good.
Yeah, just wish the X48 boards were better clockers. I would be able to do 4ghz if there wasn't a problem with me using a higher fsb. But, having a phenom system crunching would net alot more points than an extra 250mhz.
I have the X48 board because I was planning on doing a crossfire comparison, but my phenom board/cpu was giving me problems so its on hold atm. I'm buying a SB750 board when they're out so that should make everything better.

 Over 5 mil for as Sunday..I'll take that..
Someone is about to be passed.
Two 45nm cores, finally available. Going to try to push past 4.0 during the week. Damned hardware failures have kept me from crunching for a couple of months. Must make up for lost time.
Excellent day again everyone :D
Yea, agreed, BUT you write this down in a place where you won't lose it.
There will come the day when you login to the WCG team page it will say XtremeSystems at #1.
That you can take to the bank.
It will happen with some new people, some older guys coming back and some new technology.
I don't think this, I know it.
I'm upset with you cause you're telling me not to get a Yorkie. Sure, its' easy to tell me that when you're running two Harrys. You got yours'... And, here I just want one measly 9550 to keep me occupied til Nehalem.
Besides if they focus on you maybe they won't see me. Trust me, I know what it is like to have a big bullseye on your back. I have my friend from the north of me bearing down on me like a ton of bricks. And then there are others; some of whom I'll be able to hold off, one of whom I most definitely won't.
So don't think you're alone with a bullseye. About the only one who is safe from that, at least from other teammembers, is Victor. Unless we have people with some major ( I'm talking monstrous, here :) ) delusions of grandeur! ... :ROTF::shakes:
Anywhoo, luv ya Dave. :p:
Ok, Go buy a Yorkie, that 9550 from you know who..It's a good deal and you have the boards there to try it in.
You now have my permission..BUT just one..The rest you save for Nehalem in the fall,.,:p:
8.5x475 is 4038mhz.. You planning on buying a water cooling setup for that or do you think that 4000mhz yorkie is going to run nicely in that sauna you call home?:ROTF:
Guys, Scott lives in Vegas, a freaking dessert and his idea of nice house temps is mid 80'sF
That system on air in those temps at that speed would melt a hole through your living room floor!
I have it at 472, I might be able be able to do 475-477 rock stable, but I can actually boot all the way up to 489 into windows and run benchmarks. Something limits it though because its impossible to get blend to run at that setting with increased voltages or anything. Its as annoying as getting a phenom small fft's stable at 3ghz and then its impossible to do blend because the motherboard hates you.
Oh, like those 8 Clover cores, sitting 3' from my left hand, running at 75-80C won't? It is nice in here. Temp set at 80F, reading 82F. Just called the temperature phoneline. It is 9:32 PM and 98 degrees, still.... ( SoaB! It was a hot day here! )
Anywhoo, what is one more overclocked quad gonna do? Make life unbearable? ...?
A friend of mine was over yesterday.
He was like "why don't you get that ceiling fan fixed?"
I was like "It works, I just forget to turn it on". I probably haven't had it on in over a year.
Anywhoo, it has been on since. It is nice to have some air movement in here. Feels cooler. Plus, it helps if I have a "plume" moment... :ROTF:
Speaking of quads, I'm FINALLY getting my old motherboard back from warranty after 4 bloody months (with a free "upgrade" from a 680i to a 780i), so I'll hopefully be getting another rig up and running within the next 2 weeks. Probably stick my B3 on the 780i and a G0 in my main rig.
Eller
If I can't afford dual-socket rigs, I may as well bug people who can for photos ;)
Yup, worst warranty service EVER. Definitely adding them to the list of people to NEVER buy from again. It's the one down side to being over here in Aust: All warranty returns are done through the retailer you buy them from, where as if I was in the US I could have sent it straight to eVGA and had a new one back within 2-4 weeks.
Eller
Now the phenom system is crunching along at 2.75ghz. Turns out my opty comes in today and not on wednesday because it only had to ship from Pennsylvania so I'll only have the system up for around 6-8 hours before I start tweaking again.
Rather than starting a new thread to make this minor announcement, I will tack it on to this one. I am (or will be) crunching under this new user name with the q6600 cruncher I bought from DavidL6 recently, after I put it back together...
serlv, 450 fsb is pretty much guaranteed with the york and if I felt comfortable giving it the extra voltage needed for 24/7 I know I could run the 470fsb needed for 4gb too. I'm more than satisfied at 3825 (8.5*450) with 1.34v and I know that little extra is there if I ever want it. Really doesn't seem to matter what board I put 'em in, P35, 780i, or X48, They all have about equal success as far as I can tell although I really do love running one in my sli setup, big fun :D
"Welcome to the team!
What is "the basement" like?"
The basement has a summer ambient of about 60F summer and 50F winter. It contains an e6850, with some good games installed, surround sound, a q6600 that is being rebuilt, lots of spare computer parts and cooling supplies, and the occasional cat. It's pretty cool.

 Climbing guys! Lets head to 6 mil..
Wish I wasn't going to college next year. There'd be money lying around just begging for a couple quads.
Cellars rule as long as you can manage the dust. Sounds like a great place to hang out.
Like a root cellar or tornado shelter?
Yeah, that would be very nice. As long as you never have to worry about floods anyway. Mine is only 3/4 underground and is built into a hillside so on occasion I get a little water. But since one side is at ground level, I never have to worry about getting more an inch or 2 of water since beyond that it would just drain out the door.
Well I cranked up the duallies can't get much out of them the 300watt psu just won't let them go up much, and got my quad at 3.0ghz with a stock intel cooler, I'll see how that runs for a bit before I try to go higher.
Ohio's closer. ;)
Dayum man... theres a kebab shop just down the road.... hmmm. Getting hungry.

Easynews goes down!
Team 2ch - 3,628,109,357
Easynews - 3,627,654,875
I take offense to the ohio comment..
If you don't like us Ohioans then maybe I should go join EasyNews:rolleyes:.
Just kiddin, but not all of us Ohioans have sheep. Drive 20-30 minutes from my house and that's another story. Feel free to hate the cops too, I don't mind.
I'll tell you serious that you only tease the ones you love.
The ones you hate you ignore.
The guys we have here from Ohio are excellent guys and God they prove that with their sense of humor and the teasing over the sheep deal.
Now, back to you, what name are you on the WCG page so we can see why your stats aren't coming up on the team page?
I know you did but have to ask, are you sure you joined the team?
OOPS, I found you:)

Another year to finish, the state of NH finally told the Owl lovers that had held this up the last 7 years to go ahead and sue us we were going ahead and if they did sue, NH was going at them both barrels to force them to pay for the cost of litigation.
Rumor is the NH Governor also told them that he was passing their plate numbers off to the State Police and not to come up here..
Nice day; pushing 6 million!
Was looking at individuals stats for the day and saw an interesting sight. Kinda reminded me of Murderer's Row or some scary batting lineup from one of those vintage Yankees team back in the 50's...
I made 73k so far today (6:45 pm now), not bad. But I think there was still some caching involved ;)
My best day so far was said June 28th.. 125K for 3 days worth of caching the harpers :D
Go for 6 million team! :toast:
Yet another epic off-topic in XS WCG, the daily stats thread getting into a discussion of road projects in the Northeast !!! :)
Exactly. We are nothing if not consistent. :)
