damn my worst pair kingston value needs 2.31v for 1200
1 of my sets degraded after doin 1330mhz n now need 2.05
my 2 other sets need 1.99v for 1200:D
eva2000 got some 2.0v 1200 sets too maybe he give ya 1 lol

well if you had a gigabut board i'd give ya 5 weeks:rofl:
but dfi vdmm power is so stable they last long
why you even using 2.35v 24/7 you crazy:p:
just do cas 4 @ 1000mhz 2.22v its actually about the same
i use my ram with lowest possible voltage to max latency
some sets i run cas 3 some cas 4 my ballistix are best cas5 1200+
if i pumped 2.35v in ballistix 8500 i be doin 1300mhz 24/7
D'oh, made in China. Thanks for the heads up. I was on 5/31 lt x48 and will be testing 7/14 lt x48 tonight after work. 471x8.5 @ 1.2v is no problem for my E3110, but my NB is hitting a wall at ~483MHz. I can't even get 8x500 stable enough for crude testing on 5/31. If I don't like my results I'll make use of your suggestion.
my new x38 is having problems over 460, were my original was doing 545 so i think intel is putting out their junk stock now, for both
Do the bios versions take into consideration the stepping of the CPU somehow? I'm wondering if there is a better bios than 602 that might be better at auto detecting correct GTL's since that appears to be what is holding me back.
i tried teh gtls went from 66-70% and nothing, my old one was 68-68.5 but that insta crashes my new one, im going to move to an x48 block then see if that helps when i tested it on my old one it jacked the L2 numbers way up
but unless this bios came bad the board is much worse and its ever a tiawan
I have DFI LT X48-T2R and update the lastest BIOS.
I use this mobo with Q9550 (C1), I can't boot when I set vCore = 1.45v +. My PC reboot, reboot and reboot.
But set 1.4v and + 107% (~ 1.5xv) everything is OK.
Help me.
Sorry my bad English.
how do you know if it was made in china or Taiwan? Were does it say it?
im getting my Q9550 tomorrow, probably a c1
Every screenshot I have posted has been with a "Made in China" board. Regardless what the popular opinion may be the place of manufacture of this board has no bearing on the overclockability of it.
The method of displaying the BIOS settings automatically would be typing them out.
Ok, I'm doing something wrong. Using a USB drive with a floppy DOS image. I downloaded the x38 603 beta bios along with the x48 ut 602 beta bios, the zip archives, not the executables. I extracted the contents of the x38 603 archive to my USB drive and renamed the x48 ut 602 file to the exact name of the x38 603 file and replaced it on the USB drive. However, I'm still getting the same error when running "awdflash.exe x38ad603.bin" from DOS.
:confused2
Thanks in advance.
So, I have a problem that confuses me.
If I ratchet my FSB from 420 to 430 in minor increments, I can get 430 stable. However, if I increase the FSB beyond 430 and it's not stable, I can't use my stable settings at 430; the computer wont even boot.
Why in the world would a setting that is stable one minute, not be another? I've repeated this multiple times, and I'm thinking it's a BIOS issue?
u can "safely" flash to a UT BIOS from a LT board. On the safe side order from ebayer: biosdepot, some bios chip, the bios chip comes pre-flashed with whatever bios u like
Yes you can thats is what i'm running, but it will not work from teh windows flash as it detects you have a different board. I think the difference in bios is that they don't make the 602 bios for the LT? I jsut used what was recommended here.
Follow this Guide

I'm not sure but I had an epox board that was like that before.
Maybe it was a mid week built board, and they just ran out of made in Taiwan stickers. I must have a monday for a friday board...Lots of people seem to have gone from over 500FSB to under 300FSB upon RMA. Whats up with that? Just a different bios or is there that much variety in intel X48 chips?
ok, thanks m8.
will it help oc the Q9550?
I dont know, the stock bios didn't like my 45nm CPU I don't think. So maybe? Most people seem to have luck with newer cpus with this bios. But I will say it does not seem to get the GTL's right for my CPU.
As for the USb Flash, I dunno I followed that guide to a T and made the autoexec file. I didn't have to type anything from dos, it just went right in and flashed the bios as soon as I selected the drive. I used winflash to backup my old bios first of course. What size thumb drive are you using?
yeh i had the same thing with my settings. was stable occt 1hr ,saved it . then increased. failed . reset to stable settings only to find its not stable.
what i did notice was there was a difference in vcore and vnb. during occt test , the volts did seem to vary abit. i suspect that is one reason why.
the other thing is ,u have to look at ur stability testing method . i know 1hour or even 2 hrs stable can crash 2.15 hrs later. or can crash 15 min into testing.
now im using occt just for indication but ill use prime blend at end for better result
maybe like me , ur not really 100% stable at 430fsb.
thats was my experience anyway.
wow , ive done everything to try and reduce my vdimm to less than 2.30v just wont work.
i can reduce any other voltage and play with everything else to some extent without loosing stability , if i touch that 2.30v vdimm. i dies straight away.
stability is so damn dependant on that 2.3v vdimm. kind of :banana::banana::banana:s me cause its 4x1gb of double sided crucials. there not easy to get and i dont want to kill them. but, at the same time i want to keep this clock setting.
not sure what i should do.
what if i gave vnb 1.7+ ? would that help lower vdimm? if it kills the board , i dont care i hate x48 now anyway.but i want my ram.
