I'm gonna slit my wrists if my DFi board doesnt work with my Q9450. :(

No PWM is 58 degree, and NB (chipset) is 59 degree.
My settings:
vcore 1.362
NB 1.33v
VTT 1.155v
CPU clock 4 GHz

reseat everything its too high make sure its flat
lap the pwm heatsink apply mx2

Anyone here have used ddr2 1200 or 1300 (like Team Xtreem or Transcend aXeRam) rated in this board? Will it play nicely?

for such an expensive board, and large heatsink, they sure did use some crappy push pins for the mount. very wobbly. the tips of the pins are very easy to break. check that as well.

dfi pins not too bad
the pins are even worse on x38-dq6 lol
but still first thing i did was replace them

the board loves ballistix 8500
i got problems gettin d9gkx to play nice on this board though

im looking for a utility that will play nice and allow fsb change inside windows with this board, any sugestions?
Edit: I found a solution, Setfsb 2.0.b.19t and clockgenerator Y28551LFXC will work :)

im running pc9200 OCZ flex at 1203Mhz atm and it works nice so far :)

I have a 3200icfx and a 6600 go that do not get along . It won't go past 360 fsb seems to have known issues with vista 64. My 6400 would do over 400 fsb no prob. Before I buy this board I was wondering if anyone had issues with the 6600 and vista 64. I see that this board does the same thing the 3200icfx does when booting into vista 64 with the higher end quad I belive the 9450.

I've checked everything it seem to be ok.NB Heatsink it's warm not hot and temp in idle is 51 degree, under load 58 degree.
I think there is not so bad, temps are safe, but for me too high.

Hey, if anyone has a QX9650 that isn't playing nice with their board, I know a guy who is looking for a used one ;)

could anyone that runs a pretty heavely overclocked system tell me how high your pwm temp is ? mine is through the roof ~ 73*c without fan blowing at it at full load, 1.552V vcore, 1.250vtt 1.51vpll 1.40vNB. im starting to think that this is the source of my instability problem.

i can't se if i can remove the hsf when the mb is mounted, anyone care to enlighten me?

73 is really high, I wouldn't talk about stability with that high temp's on the PWM. By the way what's your config ?

73 is maybe high but it is no bad - limit is about 125 degree :)
On Abit Guad GT X38 temp like that is nothing unusual.

my specs are, Qx9650 @ 4400Mhz. DFI X38 LT T2R ,2Gb OCZ flex XLC pc 9200, 74Gb Raptor 10K, 2X maxtor 250Gb,500Gb Samsung, 3870 x2, 1200W Thermaltake Toughpower. Modded Vapochill Lightspeed

so there is no fan blowing at the pwm heatsink since im using phasechange.
prime would bail out at aprox 19min, pretty much the same time that the pwm hits ~73, i put a fan on the gfx blowing at it then it went down to 54 and was prime stable again. im pretty curiouse if anyone else using phasechange has experienced the same problem?
oh and i've removed the heatsink and reaplied AS ceramiqe but still the same temps.

in smartguardian...is NB temp == "System"
and
PWM == "Chipset" ????

i run 500fsb 24/7 @ 4.0ghz my pwm never hit over 39c full load
idle @36c first thing i did is lap mine i got a 5c drop after lapping
good air circulation is important

might be the limit but then one day poof @ 73c:rofl: keep it cool just cause you under the limit dont mean nothing one pwm can survive 150c 1 might burn @ 60c

i see CPU, System, Chipset. No entry for "NB/Northbridge" ;/

yup, system stand for pwm and chipset stand for notrhbridge.

My Q9450 comes on the 17th... i will inform you guys how it performs including Super Pi's and such.
