Order 8/26 around 7:00PM EST, got it 9/1 around 11:30AM from CA to NY!
I'm sure Outpost has Week 28 E6600 OEMs too, since they just got a shipment on 8/31.

just what exactly do you think they did in week 27, that they did not do to week 26?Quote:

Theres no way for us comon folk to really know why. Perhaps its like when AMD binned chips for a higher clock but used it for low ones to meet demand. Its possible X6800's weren't selling so the multiplier got locked and made 6600's or something. Maybe these will be the chips anantech spoke of that the P5B will unlock because it was originally binned for X6800. Now that will be nice.Quote:

$319 free shipping oem e6600 at fry's outpost.com. Ordered mine today, the guy said The oem's came in much later than the retails so should be at least a week 27 if not a week 28! 30 day return policy unopened too! This is the best deal, PERIOD!:woot:
good deal other than (a) tax if you're in the states they are in and (b) it's OEM so it will generally not sell for much if it ends up clocking like :banana::banana::banana:. Then agian, you paid 30 bux less than retail so maybe it is the way to go :)
Is yours retail box or OEM?Quote:

Mine from ZZF is Retail.Quote:

Our Local Fry's has a 1 day sale E6600 w/ECS P965T-A for $379.
ZOMG BEST DEAL YET!
E6600, RETAIL: $326 at Ewiz.com
Only works as a Froogle reference (in link above)... you cannot just search for it on Ewiz, or the price is higher!
Shipping is steeper than normal, but still very cheap overall in comparison to the rest.
I just FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY ordered mine!
Back From Fry's, bought the combo. The cpu was O.E.M./Tray but got a week 28:woot: Incidently all or their Retail Boxed E6600's were Week 27 for $379. Combo cost me a whopping $410.38 with tax, but o well. Its like getting the motherboard for free:banana:
XPCgear has the e6600 for 344.99
How much is Fry's charging for OEM E6600s in the B&M store?Quote:

Yes they let me pic the week. Not buying everything yet, If this cpu won't run over 400 FSB on my board then I'm gonna get a P5B until I can track down a 68MOAG P5W DH. Fry's has another truck coming in tomorrow so I'll check again. They just want way too much for the board.Quote:

So far I've been stable on ORTHO @ 3.6Ghz for 1.55vcore in BIOS 800 (400) Mhz 3-3-3-3 1:1, I tried it with 1000 (500) Mhz 4-4-4-8 4:5 and ORTHO crashed. Just something to consider when trying to find a max stable 24/7 overclock. I hope I made some sense. Here's my proof:

Interesting I acheived the same clock with less vcore on my week 27, but the timings were 4-4-4-12. I do believe this cpu is better than the week 27 because I've booted and completed Pi over 3.8ghz right now I've decided to stick with my usual scheme and get orthos stable @ 3.7 ghz. What were your Mch, FSB, ICH voltages set to on your P5W DH?Quote:

I think its holding alot of us back. Guess I'm gonna have to jump on the P5B bandwagon for a benching rig if it doesn't happen soon. I'm Currently trying to find the sweet spot of the week 28. Should know something soon:)Quote:
