Hmm, this does not look as a good job, I lapped the core, ihs is taken off. I had expierience with sanding before so mine looks much better, looks like a small mirror. Either you sanded too fast or used low-grit sand paper. 2000 grit is almost like a piece of paper and it should be sanded wet to minimize scratches.Quote:
the core itself or the ihs? i've done it with my 3200+ clawhammer
hehe, if done properly then its highly recommended ;) Sorry, don't have anything to take pics of it.Quote:
definitly not reccommended
Nice WR were made but only Suicides. No one has shown me ever a Primescreen above 3200Mhz with watercooling. You can´t work with a CPU who is only Superpi or Screenstable. That´s all worthless. Want to see here Primescreens above 3Gig.
Well I have no probs doing that its just that I am under phase so my oc will be more than most water. I have already posted prime at 3.4ghz. I am getting some water setup this weekend and I'll throw my other opty in it and see what it does.Quote:

both rigs in same room with same cpu tested
3000mhz at 1.568v on Hydrocool
load temp = 47-50C
3000mhz at 1.568v on Swiftech G4 storm
load temp = 54-58C
I think for my G4s probably better for LGA775 like with my 3.4E@4.2ghz /DFI 875P-T with Cathar G4 storm (rig i'm typing from in same room as AMD64 rigs) - 29-31C idle and 39-44C load
so i installed my 2nd Hydrocool 200EX replacing G4 Storm and temps are back to lower ones http://i4memory.com/showthread.php?p=24196#post24196

And yes it's doing better than my other Hydrocool rig and G4 Storm water cooling cpu now does OCCT @3000mhz at 1.552v instead of 1.568v on other Hydrocool rig. On G4 Storm needed 1.62v (yeah something is wrong there heh)

I've got mine at 2700 1.52 for now. I know it's not very impressive but I figured I'd post if for those of us not hitting 3ghz at 1.4v. This is on stock sink and it's prime stable for 7 minutes at least so it's fairly stable. I killed it cuz temps were getting to 48c. I'm sure it could probably run longer with better cooling but I don't want temps too high.
The first night I got it I put it on occt at like 2770 and went to bed. After 30min it put up the success screen but continued testing all night. When I woke up it had been running at 50c all night. It's a tribute to the chip that it came through ok but I don't want to get up to 50 anymore.
Toki could you give some details on your tec? Whats the rating and how you power it etc?
I have a chance to get one of this...so have you got it?...some results?Quote:

Just recieved my 146 from scan I ordered yesterday, and it's also a cabye.
Doing 3.1Ghz at 1.6v so far on water. That'll do nicely :D
Now I've got 2 of the 148 cabye variety to sell and one of the 144 cabne also going spare. Time to make some cash back after a week of buying.

bah, looks like I should have held on for cabye rather than buying a CAB2E on impulse :(
