Downloaded it :D. Looks like they put up the drivers early...
Looks like Ati will have to cut greater than 50 bucks off their cards. Im thinking 85-100$ would be reasonable cut, adjusted price would come out to about 475-460$. Still too high to be honest.
Interesting....

Kepler made nVidia turn into a charity organization, that will offer you more performance for less money and is not interested in profits or revenue. It made them love price wars too! So much, that for the first time in many years, they are the ones starting it! (Or do we count the GTX460 here? )
/sarcasm :)
Anybody know what the deal is with 660 & 670 cards yet?
:)
wow this is great news if the gtx 680 offers ~15% more performance over the 7970 and is at a cheaper price.
now we will see about keeping them in stock and price gouging... which is probably most likely.
heres to the 7000 series dropping in price! let the price war begin!
Urg, why are people ordering without an independent review of the performance. Wait a few days lol.
Cause they want the latest and greatest from the green team even without seeing reviews. Blind sheep I would say.
any reviews leaked yet?
Nothing that I could find. I'm looking.
Correct. If you already have the fastest card on the market with at least 9 months before your competitor releases their next gen card, a smart manager would maximize profits from the cards already on store shelves. Your products already get extra recognition because your brand holds the performance crown.... and only a fool would release a faster card because all that does is de-value your own products and cause consumers to hold onto their money if they get any word that something faster and better is coming soon.
Why do you guys think nVidia has been so incredibly quiet about their video card releases?? Because the fastest way to kill any and all sales of products currently on store shelves is to tell consumers you're about to release a next gen card. Which is why I've never understood the thinking over at AMD these past few years because time and time again they leak tons of info on upcoming products, launch dates, and even benchmarks. The only thing this does is make consumers postpone purchases and hurt your bottom line. Hopefully AMD will figure out these business basics now that they cleaned house and brought in new employees.
I bet the biggest clue will be the prices of the 7970's on Newegg.com after midnight or whenever they refresh their prices tonight.
As of now the prices are still the same.
However, did buy a lot of NVDA stock today at $14.50.
Bet it won't be long b4 they are back up to the $16's.
