I really dislike these marketing slides even if its fake, lol, seriously people have to be dumb to fall for deceptive scales like that.
Anyway Fuad said,
"AMD's own benchmarketing data claims that Cayman XT is slightly below 20 percent faster than a GTX 480 in 3Dmark Vantage. When we compare our own GTX 480 results and add 20 percent on top of that it turns that Cayman XT loses to both GTX 570 and especially GTX 580."
I'm assuming from the reviews I have read about the 570 is that it performs equally to the 480, so Fuad doesn't know what he is talking about again..
The next 7 days are going to be very long indeed :(
Considering the sheer value the card offered, I expected higher numbers considering the reviews were so glowing. It really took out alot of big whoppers in reviews like the 5850(from a value perspective) and even the 5770 looked less nice at it's 159 dollar price point.
Considering all the cons of the gtx 470 and gtx 480, I expected the difference to be bigger even considering the months the gtx 4xx have been on the market. The numbers look especially bad compared to the 58xx series, when you consider the much higher pricing of the 58xx series(3xx-4xx for the most part) and the aggressive marketing(Gtx 460 in canada came with 2 or 3 games).
When you totally disbelieve Charlie, atleast you have to put Fuad in the same boat if you ever want to claim being evenhanded, but not doing so will only reveal what kinda hypocrite you actually are. :ROTF:
He was talking about Vantage - as far as I remember the GF110's have much improved Vantage performance in comparison to GTX 480. Disproportional to the game performance increase. So it's possible that GTX 570 is faster at Vantage then the 480, but it doesn't really mean anything.
By the way.. "benchmarketing" :D:D:D
I already said fud is usually inaccurate, hence what I said, its fud, but he gets things this close to launch, he usually quick to revise specs as it comes closer to launch date.
I believed Charlie on the paper launch of the gtx 580 and the spinning dealeo right until launch. In that case, I gave Charlie more credibility(rightfully so considering Charlie seemed to be alot more accurate than fud in this predictions as of late).
I also believed Charlie in the existence of the gtx 580 when he started talking about it.
For those wondering why it's obvious that it's fake and have a bad monitor.... (:shakes:)...

(not made by me btw...)
get rid of those FUD screenys, i swear last few months nothing but fake crap from them...
I don't think we can count on anyone for accuracy, from Nordic, Charlie, Fud when it comes to rumors lately. When it comes to AMD, they send out too many red herrings that you can only get the right info the day just before the launch. Man if this is inaccurate and its just a week before, man its difficult to get leaks from AMD.
Does anyone know the slide that these were recycled from?
The slide is obvious fake, but who says the numbers aren't real? I think it wouldn't be the first time something like that happened.
Probably fake, I just found part of the slide data came from the 6870 vs gtx 460 1gb slide.
Its pretty consistent when the blurred out part is taken into account and the battlefield bad company is different.

Quite some are actually unedited... (I was already looking at that slide myself):

(transparant is the 6870 vs GTX460 1GB)
You can't be serious. So someone has hard data but instead of just leaking that hard data they photoshop it into an AMD slide that everyone would figure out was phoshoped and disbelieve as a result?
Yeah, I think it would be the first time that has ever happened. Please find us another example.
I wouldn't be saying that, if it didn't happen. I just can't remember, what was it actually about.
He had the slides, but instead of posting it, he made his own. The numbers turned out to be true.
Why do people bother posting Fuad's Fudzilla's articles about ATI? All he ever writes that ATI isn't going to fully compete against NVIDIA's high end offerings, blah blah blah.
So when they will release 6950? And pls stop post those :banana::banana::banana:y slides...
Which justifies making up more rumors out of thin air?
Asking questions is now considered making stuff up?
What do you think Charlie is doing all the time?
Nobody can tell you the hard facts without breaking NDA, so people just guess. Do these numbers actually look reasonable? I think so.
What do you want to hear exactly? That the numbers Nordic HW posted are real? That someone actually already guessed the right number of stream processors, but it got covered so quickly, that most people didn't notice? That the launch driver received the WHQL today? Maybe, that HD 6850 is also going to be available with 2GB of RAM? Or how about the PCB being red?
There were no questions, direct or implied, in your statement. It was a claim. This is a rumor thread - so not only do rumors get collected here, we get to debunk them here. I have been watching rumor threads for quite some time and I never remember anything like what you are describing.
I don't care what someone does in their free time. When Charlie posts something I decide to believe, to disbelieve, or remain undecided based on what else is currently known, logical reasoning, and his accuracy on that subject in the past. The same with every other rumormonger. Talking about their motivations, emotional state, etc often simply amounts to a veiled ad hominem and is irrelevant.Quote:

Ok. Believe whatever you want.Quote:

Frankly, I have heard enough. Soon it will be time to see the truth and make some mental (and public) notes about all the claims floating around.Quote:
