Currently in windows with my i7 930 at 4465 with 235blck
Yes, that's what it means. A BIOS has a checksum stored in it that is being compared with a checksum calculated on the fly upon POSTing. That way the board's BIOS' integrity is being verified.
However that does not always mean the first BIOS is REALLY corrupted if the checksums don't match. Usually it just means the system was very unstable and thus generated a wrong checksum. I've had such fallbacks on my ASUS P6T Del. V2, but since there's no such secondary BIOS, it would rather ask me to insert a USB stick/CDROM with a BIOS image file to restore it.
What could be causing cold boot issue?
Sometime when I fresh start PC, it will fail to post and shows the OC failure message. I just go in bios and save and exit and after it boots fine.
Anyone experienced same problem? what could be the cause? The PC is stable in windows, linx, prime and gaming.
Happens to me a few time. I had more of it with F6, slightly better with F7. Probably a bios issue.
Just bought a UD7 today so I wanted to say "HI" and sub to this thread. And I should not be reading this at work.;)

Congrats, and welcome to the thread.
man im a little bummed because i got the UD5.but it will do:D
Guys, how goes this MB with LN2 and 980x?, any suggestion before benching? tips and stuff like that i will apreciate a lot :)
yep,and the giant air HS:D
no i only have the one 3849B018 right now, testing it out and looking for more
in the meantime.so far its pretty good but not as good as my first 3949B018 one.
EDIT:got to say though these gigabyte boards are so consistent from board to board
and model to model.i put in my settings for 21x200@4200 1600 6-6-6-20 1t from my
ud3r and worked perfectly.same thing with my three ud3r's and three different cpu's.
its easy to help others also with settings.the ud5 seems to be very solid so far:D
AHH, Micro Center just had a few 920's in stock for $169 and I missed it.
oh man that sucks big time,169 is an awesome deal.
you could buy a few and test them for the best one at that price:D
Quick question...
is there anyway to control the fans from the MB fan headers?
I have 1 fan in my system, and i can still hear it.
when my machine is idle i want it to shut off, but when my machine goes into 100% CPU load it would be nice that it turned on.
And you can only buy one per household. Maybe by a small chance they will get them one more time. I will check every day now.
Any mods for this board?
