I use LLC on auto, so far I can not tell a difference at all between auto and enabled, maybe because they are the same thing, but one time I did have my system BSOD when switching to enabled. Since then I have just left it on auto.

Hi guys, i've got some thinks to ask you :)
I'm going to buy a new P5Q motherboard but i don't know what model can I take. Which model do you suggest between P5Q DLX and P5Q WS? I don't know if P5Q WS is good for overclocking.. That is my doubt.
Thank you very much :)
how much does the DIMM overvolts, also 0.08v like on the maximus/rampage?
Heres a SS of my q6600 on a p5q-d. Just got it yesterday though.
I miss mine :( . I can't wait for newegg to over night the new one back to me. That is going to be a sweet day. They just recieved it today. I have been gaming on my Rig#2 since it crapped out on me and actually Rig#2 games almost just as good IMO.
you can add me to the list of Impressed P5Q-D owners. Got the board installed Monday night. Had a wee bit of time to play with it last night and without hardly any effort at all am running at 8 x 500 for 4ghz. And this is with none of the voltages in the yellow. I can see that I am going to like this board
Why not try and fit it before you spend more money?
i will give it a try
i am fitting it probably saturday
i have seen someone fitting it and they had to bend the 3 lower fins down and cut the corner off of the fan bracket to get it to fit
if i cant get it to fit very well any recommendations for another one?
thanks
The ac7 pro fits on my p5q-e fine, though you do have to bend the lower couple of fins a bit down.
i will try it
saves a bit of cash :)
Newegg approved my rma already!! It should be on it's way back to me tomorrow latest. Everyone gather and pray to the newegg gods that they shine down on me tonight and ship it tonight lol.
After 2 week holidays and some heavy testing on my board, here are my settings which are 100% stable on Prime95, OCCT, 3DMark and loads of gaming. P5Q Deluxe; E8400; 4x1GB Team XTreem Dark; 9800GX2:

Hope they're useful :D
Thanks to everyone who helped, specially Leeghoofd.
Your CPU voltage is quite high for 450 fsb in my opinion.
My E8400 runs stable @ 1.25000. Of course each cpu is unique but still that voltage looks quite high for just 450 fsb for 45nm processor. U should be hitting maybe like 500 fsb wih those voltages :)
EDIT: Also I think you should try to play with performance level manually. I think PL 9 or 8 should work easily
EDIT2: But just a suggestion. If it ain't broken, don't try to fix it :D
But there is always room for some improvements if you willing to spend some more time :)
Then again if you happy with it then just enjoy. Nice OC either way :)
Hey guys, I am working on tweaking my memory. I want to have the best performance possible and am not sure what settings I should be using. Right now I am stable at 1133mhz with
Timings: 5-5-5-15 trfc 55
RAM Voltage: 1.94
DRAM Static Read Control: Enabled
DRAM Read Training: Auto
Mem OC Charger: Enabled
AI Clock Twister: Auto
AI Transaction Booster: Auto
I was also stable at 1.9v with Static Read Control disabled and everything else on atuo. I heard that enabling read control and mem oc charger helped boost perfomance. I tried setting AI Clock twister to Strong and that failed, what should I be doing here with the clock twister, transaction booster and read training??? Thanks
Hi, what about the problem with GTX260/280 and those condensers? My mobo is revision 1.03G, anyone has this one with nvidia GTX 260/280? IŽd like to conclude about which revisions are affected. Regards
Think it was early boards that were affected, they are all 1.03G revs... mine had 0506 bios on it and I could mount the GTX280 without an issue... maybe boards like BigJoe's, that one had 0302 bios on it, were the affected types...
look above... hope you can make PL8...
Remember he has 4 dimms , you have 2 (unless ya sig is incorrect), less stress on NB, with 2 x 2Gb dimms with 450FSB and 1081mhz I need 1.26 to be stable with them... and each board is different, so we can give guidelines but it's pretty hard to specify exact settings...
Is there anything I should do on first boot? My board is arriving tomorrow and I don't want to hurt my already abused E6600 any more.
I'm going to format and re-setup my RAID arrays even though I can just transfer them over... it's been a long time coming. Just need something where I can set those up again. I don't want to use that "quick" RAID stuff, I want to use ICH10R. Do I need a floppy drive?
