Yup, mine is exactly the same, about .02 (in win) under what is set in the bios.
1.45v=1.41v in windows.

mine is ~0.04
set 1,35 in windows it is 1,3
There is no indication that the offset is constant. or for that matter that it is linear or predictably exponential.Quote:

DFI NF4 (nonexpert) motherboards pretty much always display that much lower.
For idle you get what you set in the BIOS.
For busy you get 0.025 V higher, and that is without any change in the sensors report. That sensor must sit in front of whatever unit raises the voltage on load.
whats your lowest Vcore @default clocks?
greetz
Not bad.. much better than my 0550 UPMW (ran way tooo hot). Time to remove IHS and get a 0551 UPMW.
CCBWE 0551 VPMW 300x9 = 2700 w/1.40v + 104%
Attachment 43117
who is that in the background?Quote:

seems to me after reading through this thread that the 165's & 170's are the highest overclockers out there....so if you were going to buy one which would it be?
To say they are the highest clocking is somewhat incorrect. To say they are the most popular is more on the mark. Anything above a 170 just isnt a very good value. To answer your question, it really depends on how much you want to spend. They both pretty much overclock the same give or take 100mhz.Quote:

Hey, I am to get Opty 170 thru my relatives in NJ. Which are the recent stepping doing good? Also has anyone come across 06XX 170/175? Thanks in advance.
I got a Opteron 165 now:
Its a CCB1E 0550 VPMW if i remember correctly.
I can run 2600 MHz @ 1.35v Dual prime stable for more than 9.30 hours. But is stopped the testing @ that point.
I can do 2690 MHz @ 1.43-1.44v. ( Max of My A8R-MVP :slapass: )
Cooling air: Zalman 9500.
My Asus A8R is realy holding me back. Venice could only get 1.52v. So i need a new RD580 board fast.
Abit AT8 X32 or a DFi. No More asus for me :nono:
i have seen a 4400+ X2 CCB2E 0553 cpu's go 2800 MHz @ 1.4v and 2900 @ 1.55 Thats a lot faster than my 165. Also air cooled.
lol:slap:Quote:

PeteX has an 170 CCBWE0550VPMW and his Chip makes under Water
2x3100Mhz Primestable with 1,426Vc wiht HS still on.
well all opterons are = temp sensitive too hot or too cold and they clock poorly... whether a stepping clocks well might need to take into a/c ambient/cooling tempsQuote:
