Asus + CT-479 is the way to go.Quote:

It is a B0 stepping or C0 stepping. If you has an ES chip, these were really good B0's to show 133 was possible and are really 100 mhz chips. You can tell in CPUZ.Quote:

It is the end of the chip. Try booting at 200x10 and CG up from there.
CG up from there
Don`t undestand CG !
CG = ClockGen
Nanok
Are you booting at 200 or 201? I noticed an ATI video card. You must boot at 201 and make sure you have locked the PCI/AGP to 33/66Mhz.
Oohhh But Clockgen says 33/66 When running fsb 220
I try booting at 201 !
And after rais the fsb with ClockGen ?
Nope that dident help
Still won`t extend fsb 220
What multi are you booting with?
If you are use 12 (default) then you are at 12 x 220 = 2640 Mhg .. pretty good.
Try booting with a multi of 9 or 10 x 201 then try ClockGen.
There's a new beta bios for P4C800-E here for dothan you folks might take it for a spin Beta 1024.001
Multipier 10 or 11 don`t it dosent matter !
higher than 220 and its not stabil
And 12*220=2640 is not fine i won`t more
Lol.
Put in a new Dothan 740 today. A little better overclocker than the last one. That one did 2.8GHz. This one does a little more. Using a Zalman 7700 to cool it with. The RAM will only follow to about 2.8GHz, so I didn't try benching any higher. Think I need a better 2x1GB RAM kit. Here's the results:
Dothan 740 @ 2.95GHz

Ok I see, thanks for the suggestion :)Quote:

:brick: There is somthing serious fxxxxxup with my setup, even multipier 6,7,8 and fsb over 220 it won`t boot up
Is my pci/agp lock not working ?
13*220 no problem with idle temp on only 30c
you can't boot to high fsbs
also, 6 shouldn't allow high fsbs, 7 should revert to 6, and 8 shouldn't post at all
you got to set 201 FSB, and up it with clockgen
Managed to squeeze a bit more out of my Dothan 1.60Ghz

It tops here, I can't even make a suicide run at 2900Mhz.
Great job pressure! What kind of cooling are you using and tweaks?
I got my 740 up to 2900 for a windows boot before the adapter blew out yesterday night.
why on my dothan can't use multi <9
Works fine here. Didn't notice any differences though..? Thanks anyways ;)Quote:

I drop the multiplier down to 11x and the ram at 1:1.Quote:

I am currently using a Vapochill PE but the Evaporator does not have a perfect fit, so it only hovers around -5 Celcius.
I was thinking about selling this chip and go for the P-M 740 but for now 2.88Ghz on a Dothan will do nicely :D
