Have you tried running Prime95?
VID is 1.225, boots easily at 445x9 with 1.225 in bios. Next stop 1.2 in bios, which may not work :D
4GHz @ 1.2000 in BIOS, not stable (no surprise there) but I got a photo of sub 1.2v

One goal achieved, next goal is to boot at 4.5GHz :D
you got that cpu directly from intel?if not where did you get it
Hello guys,
Do you think it is safe (for cpu & motherboard) to run my Q9650 H24 @4.2GHz ?
In the bios :
- vcore : 1.3V (1.29v with cpu-z)
- vfsb : 1.28
- vnb : 1.26
My computer :
Asus P5Q deluxe (bios 1306)
Q9650 (9*467MHz)
2*2048Mb Pi Black 8500 Gskill
Cooling : Ifx14-10
Temperatures: in full mode, below 75°C under linX
Thank you very much for any help

VTT is the same as VFSB, right?
Well to be more precise my temperatures (under linpack, so full load) are as follow:
Cpu : cores between 70 and 77°C
Mb : 35°C
My case is a P182 with 7*120mm (scythe Slisptream 1200rpm) and a scythe KamaBay.
Fortunately ambient temperature do not exceed 25/30°C even during summer :yepp:
Thank you again
Aahh good, i wasnt sure about that :D
Got mine down to 1.304v under load for a prime pass (2 hours), temps under 66*c now....i wonder if i can go much lower...
I bought it on ebay and the seller got a replacement from his supplier under warranty - could have been an "official" Intel channel.

General remark to all: I'm very happy with 4GHz so there's no need for me to join the :cheer: Gigabyte UD3P :cheer: cheerleading squad.
:p:
Mines an A2, but I was under the impression the MF2 were better.
Agreed it's not the best mobo for high fsb+quad, but it's still possible and has been done a few times - Grnfinger did 500x9 with his Q9650 four months ago, but it did take a lot of tweaking.
I'm happy with 445 fsb, 4GHz is plenty :p:
All I need is to get it stable on 1.216v, play with some GTLs and skews :D
