i just don't understand why abit didn't put active cooling to this mobo in the first place, i don't know what temps u get @stock but even with little oc and it's like sauna for those heatsinks. Now i added one 8cm fan to nb and got temp drop from 67c --> 56-60c ^^;

Hilfiger: yep i noticed "the great paste" when i changed mine :) and as i got tuniq now too it's really hard to get any bigger fan to on nb, definetly harder than when i used watercooling :)

Guess it likes the new bios even less.
If you are having ratio issues on your dimms its down to the SPD on the dimms. There should be tables for each speed in SPD with subtimings etc...if these are not to the boards liking you will have issues.
well i'm only having those "issues" when using 1333strap so i don't think there is any big problem

so after some testing here and there this 14 bios didn't improve my fsb much maybe couple mhz, so my max is around 410-420mhz which is enough if i use 10multi :)
flash complete.. bootet in bios, take my options and.. black screen :P
well after xx cmos clear i found the bug was "virtualization technology".. is the problem new? my last bios was 13 beta 03.
Well... BIOS14.A02 gives "20" error when running 1333 strap. In my case, I was at 400FSB on 1066 strap 1:1, then tried to run at 1333 strap 1:1 but got "20" error. Shutting off and turning on the PSU brought back the system to its previous working setting. Gotta love abit's OC recovery thingy ;)
I could Memtest1.65 at 472FSB x 7 on my E6300 but doesn't boot into Windows properly. Nevertheless, this was the first time I've tested my E6300 to do 3.3GHz on a 975X.
The "400FSB ORTHOS Blend" bug is still there... erros out at about 6mins into Blend at 2.0vMCH. Trying higher vCore now to see if it helps. Overall, AW9D-MAX is looking better by the day, provided you don't mess around with the CPU Feature :P

No... don't mess around with CPU Features means leave it to default mode. If you disable the CPU Features, your BIOS will not overclock. Meaning, it will keep reverting back to the previous FSB during the time that you disabled the CPU Features.Quote:

Also, another interesting problem with A02. Everytime you clear CMOS with dual DIMMs, you will get "20" error code. To prevent this, run single DIMM whenever you clear CMOS. Now doing 400FSB at 1333 strap... no issues so far. Will try ORTHOS Blend later.
Edit: The A02 BIOS still has weird "missing Onboard Devices" issues where LAN and SATA enable/disable options will go missing upon Clear CMOS. Sometimes its visible, sometimes its invisible.. LOL
mh anyone notice that you need much more vcore for 400 stable or is it just me? but less vmch.. than in the old bios versions..

Well the 14.02bios took me from not being able to boot above 405fsb to being able to boot at 430fsb. I can get into memtest at 420 and run spi 1m and 32m at 410. Running orthos now at 405. If it passes it will be an increase of 14mhz over my previous best. I did have to up the vmch to 2.0 and the vcore to 1.5. On 13 b03 voltage did not help to get me over 400.

testing bios BIOS14.A02 1,5v vcore - 1.95v mch - 1,45v vfsb - 2.20v mem,1066strap , only one stick of EXTREEM, could go higher with my old bios this is not a good bios i think, and cpu-z doesn follow at all it's crystalcpuid that is rhe right one...

Not sure about uguru but i do know that... what you set in bios is 0.02 higher than the actual at load i believe ( i can't remember if i measured it at load or idle). this i've also measured with a DMM.
