you don't see those items cause we don't have engineering sample chips or the EE chips which come with those visible and unlocked default.
you have to do the motherboard mod labeled as Image #3 to unlock those for all chips.
I believe this is our problem gunna try it when I get home from work today
never messed with moding a board I am a little scared :scared:
I had another question about the mod, could I simply slap a jumper on that ? or are those not pins but places on the actual board that need to be connected? sorry I am noobie when it comes to doing things like this to the actual board =x
edit : nevermind this was kindly answered in a pm =D thanks
For the noobie modder, a conductive pen should work fine.
well guys did the pen mod, and set my fsb to 1066 gave it a boot and
its at 4ghz now and was prime stable for 5 minutes or so, gunna go gaming on it see how it does.
thanks for the help all, soon as I figure out where to host a picture I will post screens, nothing major but my 1st attempt at ocing this thing was a success I would say.
jsut reading off of cpu z here is some info ( al lI did was set it to 1066 FSB)
core speed is 4000
multiplier is 15
fsb is 266
Bus speed is 1066
memory freq is 333.3
FSB:DRAM is 4:5
5 5 5 15 5 is ram clocks ( really relaxed I am assuming )
let me know if you have any info I can use.
I can't see the picture with the points to connect in 'OC DEBUG' Could someone please upload a picture or at least tell me if it's the two closest to the ram slots or closest to the battery?
you know your bios reset jumper ? well its 3 little silver saulder points that are right above it literally.
it says OC DEBUG right next to it.
you just simply connect the 2 on the left, looking at it with the reset jumper on the near side. In that picture he blocked a big black box over where you need to do it to hi-lite where they are. Its very accurate and easy to see if you look into your case, heck I did mine without even removing anything just filled in the gap with a cundictive pen let set 10 minutes and I was Good 2 go
comp is now running at 4ghz with my TTBT cooling it.
I am a little worried because I have been reading about how inaccurate the bios temps as well as the intel software are at reading the actual temp.
I guess if its still on after hrs of gaming and running 2 instances of prime95 its fair to say its stable and ok ?
hmm is the picture for image3 down? can't view it right now.
Can we please get another picture of how to unlock the vCore settings in Bios? The picture is down :(
can someone post a box shot thats shows the revision number please ?
you saying that we dont need to do the debug mod anymore?is this also for retail chips.Quote:

help ?
We need picture #3 please :)
well if you have a es chip it should be unlocked, you can try the mod and it will definantly work this I can vouch for
Step 4 B0 has everything unlocked
Step 5 B1 has most of things locked
i have step 4 B0 with the rev304 mobo and the 1304 bios.
I got no oc options at all and the bios does not know the cpu...
help.,...
BIOS not knowing the CPU is not unusual, it will only say "Genuine Intel CPU @xxx GHz" because Intel does not burn the full set of CPU information on the ES chips. But unless you have a VERY old BIOS without Conroe support at all you should have the usual overclocking options (go to advanced, chipset configuration, and select "yes" to the "are you sure you want to proceed" selections).
with 0908, 1181 and the stock bios i got i see those options but with the 1304... none
Still Waiting for resistors to mod my 303 :(
thats really wierd, cause when I had my boxed drivers and my 930 it didn't show me anything but the 2nd menu which allowed for minimal burn in ocing.Quote:

if your having issues try updating your bios then resetting it. I saw someone advise that and it worked for the guy.
past that I don't know what would cause a board with the correct stuff done to not work.
Anyone has a copy of picture #3 ?
