3ghz, not bad for 1.5v I guess. Core about 30c idle using IHS sandwhich.
maybe grind down the second IHS to get lower temps. Thats a big hunk of metal in between. You can try to fold up layers of aluminum foil or copper foils if it exists.
Does anybody know how CDBHE 0608 X2 does under low temps?
That's what I managed under water, stable 8hrs. Looks like phase isn't the best option :p:Quote:

For you 5c difference = 10htt difference, my test is 13c above yours, so (13/5)*10 = 26 HTT, your top htt was 305 +26 = 331 which is very close to 333
Looks like coldbug is pretty figured out. Too bad the stepping isn't so good for a coldbug, the 0608MPMWs all do 3 Ghz with less volts.
0608 is what im dying for, man I miss the good steppings al the dam time over at FD, ive been trying so hard too, the 170 is sold and the cash is in bank and waiting, just need to hit em at the right time
Has anyone with this stepping(CCBBE0610DPMW) got a bum chip? You would think that they are all stellar performers.

I got my chip a while ago and have the IHS off. I replaced my godlike CBB1E 0608 with this 0610 chip. People thought the 0608 was the best, but when comparing the two chips with IHS ON I got the 0610 to bench superpi 32m about 30mhz higher at the same voltage.
I don't know if the lid off on the 0608 would have done better, but I already sold it. :(
I haven't even burned my chip in, but I can tell you that it does 3058mhz 24/7 at 1.55v (bios setting) for all applications and 32m stable. I haven't touched prime95... most likely cuz I don't get far with p95. My ram at 255mhz 1.5-2-2-0 may be the reason prime always fails, but my system is stable enough for me.
I'm going to start benching at 1.65-1.68v sometime within the next week if the weather gets cool enough one night. I have it on water, so I'm afraid to push more than that... hoping 1.68v won't kill it. This will be on a storm with ihs off and a x1900xtx to couple it with.
My friend got one of these and let me test it as usual
CCBBE 0610DPMW 06xx batcher
watercooling, warm room too
2.95 Ghz 1.45v been priming for a few minutes, i'll get a shot later
loading at 48c... chip is DEFINITELY coldbugged cuz non bugged ones never run this hot on me.
Doesn't scale nearly as well as my 0608MPMW, IMO 0608 > 0610

Unfortunately I sold my 0608 thinking my 0610 was better... but i tested both chips at 1.55v (dfi bios setting), and the 0610 was superpi 32m stable at 3058mhz, and the 0608 was superit 32m stable at 3017mhz.
I guess that wasn't enough testing... maybe I shoulda primed them and woulda gotten different results?
I popped the lid off of the 0610 and it's been stable for all of my daily/gaming needs at 1.475v 334x9 = 3006mhz. I can bench the thing much higher... maybe the 0608 woulda been nicer with lid off, but i made my $100 profit on it.
And for some reason, my 0610 idles at ~33c with lid off on a storm... no clue why it's so hot...

Batch nr 700-something :)
wow, yours rocks!!
what cooling, and IHs on/off?
I may be able to hit that if I burn in... I haven't burned in enough yet.
what colling you are using in your´s 0610??
is it watercooled?
Watercooled, IHS on and also completed 6hr @ 3100MHz 1.5v! :banana:Quote:

Oh I see I need to check my chipset, temp is pretty high compared to the 3085 screen
Edit: Better:

Expert, 4/06-BTA, 165 0610DPMW... what Dividers to you have?
I am curious as to what dividers anyone with the above mentioned setup has in BIOS...?
-Thanks
the highest i can get my CCBBE 0610DPMW to is 2.88ghz, any help on getting higher?
lol... you sound so disappointed... a 1ghz overclock leads to disappointment.Quote:

Im using a DFI expert and from what I can tell when overclocking at very high fsb the memory needs to be bang on with the settings or it just wont become prime stable.
A few questions.
Which bios 'seems' to work well with the DFI Expert?
The memory im using is G.Skill ZX and im trying to run it at stock speed with stock timings (DDR400 @2 3 5 2 @2.7v) so im using a 120 divider, is this ok or should I try to run on a higher divider like the 133/140 on 2.5 3 5 2 timings as I know my memory overclocks not that bad up to upto DDR480.
From what I can tell, drive strength/data drive strength seems to play a BIG part in stability (im using 7/3, but is this right?), as well as what TREF setting you use also seems to play another big part in stability.
Can someone please give me some pointers on this!
I had my 165 prime stable @ 3006MHz for over 19hrs but cant get it there now? Then one day without touching anything I tried another prime session but cannot get it stable. Since then I have changed bios's (currently using (E704BTA) and tried loads of other settings.
CCBBE 0610DPMW '904'

so it was stable at 3ghz but now its not? I have the same stepping, mine wont even begin to boot into windows at 2.98ghz. thats really weard though with it being stable but then not changing anything now its not, I think I had that happen once with mine, but it was at like 2.9ghz, highest stable oc I can get mine is 2.88ghz
I think it's just me really. I got it stable before, im sure I will fix it again.Quote:

So far so good.
Not sure if its fully stable but I think it is, I had to raise my max async to 10, before it wouldnt even boot past 2.95ghz

Very nice clocks! - What is max async refer to?Quote:
