210 are a great value I think. I got the 240 because they had it in stock and I got free 2nd day air. Its a lousy $100, spare change considering how much we spend on the computer gear. I spent $1700 on my chiller so far and I am not even done, and I got all the tools for free :D

Besides this pump is not the only thing that will be hanging on my 240.
I'll take a 150 then. Seems there is agreement that this will do the business.
Overkill and spending more money than you have to sometimes go hand in hand. This is one of those times. Going overkill on the PSU won't give you any better performance, just less money in yer wallet.Quote:

Have you tried to get a quote from power-factor? They might be able to give a good gorup discount, see what they say.

Ok guys, good news, I got some pricing, I'll just post it here, my pm's are getting too full. We have 10 ppl interested, so that means each psu wil be 40.00 before ship. Not bad, 5 bux off. Even more if you consider that some places are charging 50+ for it. Well, we wont get to 25, but if we do, they'll knock another 5 off. someone buy 15 of these, hahahaha. Keep the PM's coming, I'm still looking for a cheaper place to buy them! Gonna try a couple more places and I'll let you guys know tomorrow the final pricing!

When you get the pumps will there be different options avalible to those that ordered them as far as shipping goes?
The reason I am asking is alot of us have seen some bad UPS situations this year people had here. I for one want to protect my investment and dont mind paying extra for FedEx Air but will different shipping options be too much of a hassle for you or do you plan on offering whatever the people are willing to pay for? :)
fareast, for the love of god please use FedEx and not UPS.. Satan would take more care in getting your package to you than UPS will.
yeah, it's your money, whatever you wanna pay is fine with me, I only ship USPS or Fed Ex though usually. In this case I think I'm only going fed ex for everyone domestic, and USPS for everyone INT. I've never lost a package yet going with those 2, nor has anything ever been damaged. I'd like to keep ship costs down for INT ppl though. The king of pumps deserves better than UPS, heh.
btw, thanks for changing that title maxx, again, pump ordering is closed, but you can still pm me for a psu. We are at 12 so far.

While waiting for my pump & powersupply (you the man fareastgq) - I printed the specs and installation guide of the RD-30 to read on my lunchbreak at work... :fact: Anyway I noticed that the OD on the intake and outlet ports on the RD-30 (and RD-20 - same manual) is 18mm (0.71 inches / just under 3/4).
What kind of tubing fits like a glove? I was planing on getting ID 1/2" but now I think that we will need converter pieces? :stick:
1/2 is fine... you just heat the end of the tube up in boiling water and push like its going out of fashion :)
It seals great, heh... youll have to take a knife to the tubing to get it off.
