I do hate my sandiego..........hehe I'll fix its ass for not being a 3.3 gig air chip.
It must be nice to be able to freeze your cpu :)
I got no idea how to set something like that up and I do not want to spend 1 G for a vapochill :slap:
A cheap DIY Dry Ice tube costs about $35 and about 4 hours of your time most of that for lapping. Add $10 for 10lbs of DI and another 5 for acetone and you can have alot of fun. Used phase units range from $250-$450 and OCZ may be selling a budget unit soon so the horizon looks good for the beginner. As for me well i have an arsenal already and i like to mod my own stuff. If it took a pic of just what i have for cooling alone people would drool forget what i have for hardware.
what is the difference between N and T CPUs?
talk to oppainter recently? i think he runs his 154 cabne at 1.95 or so.Quote:

T loves volts N likes to go high on low volts and likes to die on high volts :) for instance My x2 3800 I've been using is a T chip. It responds well with voltage/cold. My 3700 sandy is an N chip it doesn't respond to volts as well and requires fine tuning. Contradictory to this i've seen T chips die with not enough volts + high clocks. Also in my experience T chips are more resililient to BH-5 etc high volts to MMC.Quote:

I live near RI chew :D , I was there all day today actually.
I appreciate the effort you put forth already with this board.
I laughed when I read your slight rant about the DFi/NF4.....
So true man, it's pathetic, although I was very fortunate today...
It actually BOOTED on the first try!!
Heheheheh
Board looks good so far, I won't be going XFire, or AM2(anytime soon at least), so I'm hoping/will be looking for an RX board to get rid of this problematic Ultra-D (that folks at other locations say are other problems , need not mention that site me thinks.... ).
Thx again

Hey man you should meet up some time. We will have a clockathon. mach1 times 2, + liquid frostbyte, + DI tube makes for alot of fun.
I'll come over your house lol :D
Your already setup!!
I have 2x256 XMS3500 that seem to love up to 3.8v, 2x256 LE 431's, a prommy and some other stuff if ya interested in doing some runs.
PM me if ya interested.

that's interestingQuote:

Got all that stuff covered although im lacking in the 2x 512mb department for testing on this board, all i have is a set of speed binned pc 3200 UCCC. Also lacking in the opteron department. I really need to test opty OC with 1/1 memory as grouper tended to struggle with ocing memory with opty's. Prommy would be cool though as one of my mach 1's goes in for mods monday.
I have 2x512 Twinmoss UT, unfortunately my Opty 148 is a Cab2e.
I've never really pushed this UT.
I also have a NC 3500+ ( which SEEMS to be a POS, at least on air), and a winny 3000+ ( which is Prolly a pos under cold ).

Chew,
Set me up with some nice cooling for my sealed 165 UPMW #0069 :D :toast: :toast: :D
Kaiser most likely what i have here is to cold for that OPTY. Although i do have a high end beginner water setup......if the waterblock was swapped out.
Yikes, what hapenned here

Can you give me the list of components used in that test? Why do i get the feeling that DFI compared they're board to the advantage aka budget version........

Yah thats not the same review or bench. I want to test with as close to the same components possible........Quote:

The graphs are inconsistent, appear to be mislabelled (how can you have two graphs labeled 'PCMark 05 CPU Score' with two different results?), and seemingly contain no relevant information...
I cleared my temp internet files caches just to get rid of any residue from that site... very poorly composed indeed.
