Seems these 0604's aren't getting anything close to previous months. I've got a pair on order from the Egg and I'll post my results next week.
Anyone else running these on the ASRock DualSata mobo?

Well, I didnt update the thread for a long time but there are some expert settings (7 to be more specific) as well as ultra-d:Quote:

To the guys getting memtest errors - make sure bios shadowing or caching is disabled in the bios. Having it enabled will give you memtest errors.
Where would you find these settings that you talk of? I have an ultra-d and dont have any option that comes close to that! Also are you talking of errors at default speeds?
Cheers
There should be a BIOS option somewhere that says "BIOS Cacheable" or something along those lines. You want to disable it.
aha! cheers, not that I was having many probs but I thought that might help me, although i found it "system cacheable" I think, it was disabled already lol
Ok now reporting back on the max mem at default timings on my "0604's"
280 3,4,4,8 anything higher and I get errors, only a few at 285 but a few too many :) I'm still running them at 270, I've found another guide that probably will help me understand all these new bios settings (my first amd rig :))
I guess the only way to see the chip specs is to void the warranty and remove the heat spreaders right?
Just got my pair 2x1GB in a few hours ago. Running default voltages and timings at DDR500 right now. SuperP 32MB stable so far. I'll report back later if I have anything more positive as I increase HTT :-)
Why would you need to do that, when we ALREADY know what it is?Quote:

I find SuperPI and Memtest86 rather unreliable for testing memory. Try Windows Memtest and see if you can even get to 1,000% without an error. Mine wouldn't do 265MHz+ in Windows Memtest without an error and i tried a lot of DRAM settings. It may be the memory controllers on these CCBBE Opterons though.
Actually I've noticed the same thing with my pair of 0606 that I've been testing the past week. They are pretty much stable up to 275 with just about any sort of good timings and 2.6V. I'm currently trying for a stable 280 but they fail almost instantly unless I have the Idle Cycle Limit set to 256. Also, having the MAL set to 8 instead of 7 has allowed me to stay stable so far at 280. I'm hoping to get somewhere between 285-290 out of them. These sticks are certainly impressive, especially for $179 at the Egg.Quote:

Does it have anything to do with the ram?
Mine barely do 260MHz. Bad performance as they run very loose timings. I would rather run for some some good old BH5 4x512 2T 2-2-2-5
A little help please? Someone?
0512 serial its good?:stick: :woot:
Can anyone post the OCs with DFI SLI-DR Venus and UCCCs?Quote:
