Setting up Rosetta@home

I keep getting the same message now.
We tried stuff for more than 3 hours now and it doesnt seem to work.

The reason seems to be the following:

As far as I know Rosetta source codes aint available, which is why it doesnt work.

Edit: 64bit Boinc client + Rosetta is a no-go so far.

Just installed it yesterday. It's stuck on Scheduler Request Pending.. and has been for the past 10 hours.

EDIT: Never mind, changed "Do work while computer is in use?" to Yes and it's working fine now. Damn work units are slow, I'm used to D2OL's really small candidates, lol.

I just set up version 4.97 last evening. All my WU's are failing with similar errors. ***unrecoverable error for result HBLR_1.0_2reb_426_1061_0 (-exit code -1073741819 (0xc0000005))*** Can anyone help?

4.97? Isn't that a ralph@home beta version number (ralph@home is the rosetta test project)? The latest version of rosetta@home is 4.83 iirc.

Anyways if all your WUs are all failing in the same manner I'd guess it's probably due to instability - Is it stable running prime95?

You might want to copy your 'messages' tab contents and post it as an attachment - there might be some relevant info in there.

nm - it looks like I was wrong re the version number and that you're not alone with errors on those WUs.

Just jumpped on, been away for awhile. I'm bringing with me an Opteron 165 @ 2.2x2, a 3400 Newark @ 2.5 and a Dell PowerEdge with dual PIII @ 733. May also be getting a Dell Xenon workstation to crunch with... waiting on my IT guy to let me know I can pick one up. :banana:

i just joined rosetta under name a5h. the guide helped a lot thx! :D

got my main rig X2 3800+ running and our P3 router PC @ 733mhz :D (running 24/7 :woot: )

my output is kinda low. i heard an X2 at 2.7 - 2.8ghz should produce like 1500 credits a day. ive been going 24/7 for 3 days and only have 900 credits :stick:

what am i doing wrong? ive got boinc set up for "run always".

and what are the benches... visible under the messages tab under BOINCMGR

The second on you posted is what we mean. You need to re-bench until the second number is around 10000-12000

much better looking should be a lil over 1000 a day now... probalby like 1150 or so i'd guess depending on use

I don't know that anyone has done this before. It can't hurt..give it a try..if it creates too great a load you can go into preferences and turn it down to 50(50%)

Are these numbers good for an x2 4400 at 2750mhz with 1gig of ram?

How do I join the XS team? Is their some forum to fill out ?
Got the email this morning saying XS needs all the help it can get, I'm willing to setup 4 boxes at work that run 24/7/365 to do what I can. It's just not clear to me how to give XS the credit.
