p4gd1 torture chamber

Above is the mem compatibility list of P4GD1, what the hell, I'm going to buy one of this board soon, but it doesn't support 4 sticks of Hynix BT-D43 ???

Is there any one who used similar configure and tried 4 sticks of these rams?

with early nvforce drivers sli might be possible! :woot:

but with only pciE1x for one card... thats going to be a big performence hit and i wonder if it will perform faster than a single card or slower, lol :D

i really want a gig of ram but i dont have any 512 sticks of bh5 :(

I ran 2x512 MB TwinMOS Speed Premium PC3500 BH-5 and 2x256MB Corsair XMS3500 BH-5 together, made 220MHz with 2-2-2-4 3,3V.

Yes it works with 4 x 256MB ram modules......

What are you guys using to monitor CPU and Motherboard temps?

I assume you guys set some kind of Temp Threshold that will shut the system down in the event of too much overclocking?

I'm using everestUE.
Tried setting up MBM but did not succeed.

And I don't really like speedfan.

So the neat program "Thaiphoon SPD editer" can write memory SPD aye? I shall update my SPD to let work defaulty to CL=2 :lol:

Are you running 260 24/7? What volts if I may ask? If I remember right micron chips did not like high volts for 24/7 use and they die after 2-3 months depending how high vdimm is.

Out of interest has anyone else noticed that the chipset voltage, tho lower than that rated in the BIOS actually goes UP when its benching? Mine nearly jumped 0.1V when running SuperPi

Didn't you have a 750 before? How how did you get with it? I have 4 x 512 ballistix that I run in my p4gd1 that I got from this thread. Thanks for getting it for me. They all run 250+ fsb 2.5-2-2-5 and I have had them running for over a year now. They do not of course run that way with all 4 of them in at the same time.

Yes I had 750 but not great clocker (max ~2,75GHz)

Yeah Just. Actually it's quite weird, seems to vary every now and again. Could just be my DMM :) Was wondering if anyone else has noticed it too?

PS vdd mod seems to "fix" it, have had no variation @ 1.8v regardless of what its doing

Considering my hardware should I have the CT-479 jumpers on 533 or 400?

Actually considering my entire situation what should I do? My multipliers default is 17 which means I can only get 150 FSB before my rig does itself over. This leaves me @ 2.5 on a 780ES and whatsmore with an FSB of 150 which doesn't do wonders for the PC3200 memory. Obviously people have been doing it comfortably with this processor before. Suggestions?

Well Bluewonder :D just boot as high as you can and use the tools saaya has for download in this thread and adjust your rig in windows. Just set your memory to auto in the bios.
