Not sure you will be able to find anything that fits at the H/W store. As I had stated, BSPT (British Standard Pipe Thread) fittings are UK standard fittings, not US (which uses NPT), so they might be hard to find. I'll leave it to the experts to comment on whether NPT or other fittings will work with these rad's though.Quote:

Just placed an order for the 1/2" ID fittings from Danger Den at $2 each. But shipping costs more than the barbs total :(
Be sure to specify Thermochill Radiator in the comment box when checking out.
whats bspt stand for, there has to be some way around ordering it from a site for 20 bucks.
canislupy: "BSPT (British Standard Pipe Thread)"
I have been waiting and waiting to get my rig up and raining and should be getting the PA120.3 by the end of this week (hopefully). Don't want to take chance scouring local hardware stores for non-US standard items and coming up empty. Quake 4 and F.E.A.R. are waiting to be played
Here in Australia we have a whole host of hose and fitting specialist stores, as there are entire industries (plumbing, gas, cars, etc) which revolve around fittings.
In Australia some of the store names are Pirtek, Enzed, Tradelink. They are franchise stores and in any town of >10000 people one cannot drive more than 5 miles without tripping over at least one of these stores. Even though Australia is primarily a BSP country, finding NPT fittings at such stores is a snap.
Surely the USA has similar stores. They are trade-based stores but will sell to the public quite happily. Heck, over here some of them don't consider it worth their while to write up an invoice for a pair of barbs 'cos they're so used to dealing in very large volumes, and will just give them to you for free.
Unfortunately in the U.S., I got written up just for 1 (a single) nut at one of the local hardware store.
lol, well hopefully here in texas i can find someone that will be able to hook me up :).
Yea quake 4 is waiting for me at gamestop ;).
I have 1/2" BSPT brass fiitings that I got from Mcmaster for my TC HE 120.2
BUT
I had to buy 10
If anyone wants I could ship a few out (I have 8 left)
EDIT: I am leaving for Vegas tomorrow until Saturday in case you need them in a hurry get them from McMaster
When will it be available in the USA from Danger Den, or someone like that?
Thanks
Yan
I would just order directly from Thermochill if you need it right away instead of waiting for it to be available in the U.S. Since you're in NY, should only take a few days to ship.Quote:

RacinJimy, I WANT SOME! :)
Intl Schedule 3 days to NY but at about $45 tho.Quote:

http://www.thermochill.com/acatalog/ rads are under relevant sections, Fittings are in the Accessories section.
If you have already ordered your rad and been notified that it's been shipped then all you can do is learn the lesson, read the description of the product, and remember not to assume anything when ordering from overseas in the future.
If you order 1/2" fittings from DangerDen and specify that they're for a ThermoChill rad, you'll get 3/8" NPT to 1/2" Hose fittings. They won't fit. That's cos DangerDen retap all ThermoChill rads over to NPT for US Sale. If you want an NPT rad, poke at DangerDen to get the PA Series in stock. If you don't want to wait, remember to order the relevant BSPT fittings from ThermoChill at the same time.
racinjimy is sending me some :)
Yea I wasnt sure if Thermo would send the barbs in the same package so I wouldnt have to spend another 10 pounds on shipping for some little barbs.
EDIT:
After reading your post yesterday and re reading the sticky again today I was wondering if air temp is really an issue, the only thing that matters with performance is the liquid temp right?
And those very last numbers after you, " Broke it down ", where those temps, and if so that was with a TEC wasnt it?
The water will only ever be as cold as the air you're cooling it with. If 100 deg C air is blowing thru there, it's gonna boil the water. If -20 deg C air is blowing thru there (and the heatload isn't enough to overcome it) it'll freeze the water.
Air In temp determines the Water Temp.
Yes, those were temps, and yes. All tests were done with 226w TEC on CPU and 172w TEC on GPU, with both CPU and GPU at 100% load.
heh stupid question on my part about the air, I didnt think it through all the way :).
How well do those TEC's run? Have you had any troubles with them if you used them on day to day basis before?
They run fine - never had any probs with TECs day to day...
Well picked up the PA120.3 from the USPS today and OMG...it is thick and heavy. Has the look and feel of a "performer". Thermochill did a fine job with the PA120. Now have to wait some more for the missing BSPT barbs, which should arrive tomorrow from McMaster. This will go into, or rather on the outside, of a Lian-Li v2100 case. Will post some pics later.
GET ON WITH THE PICS!!!!!!!!!!Quote:
