dont you guys split up the jobs of the psu between different units? like isolate one psu just for cpu power? anyways there is a 700watt zippy with 45a 12v might be more suited for powering your cpu

WOW, only .094's from 17's!!! Come-on, no vacation til u break into 17's. I cant beleive prescott beat the dothans. I always thought the dothans would be the tops. Stilt, why not try the new PowerPC cooling 850W PSU?? If an OCZ Powerstream 520w up, its time for an even bigger PSU.

i think the very huge single 12v rail of 45 amps is better then the 4 17 amp rails of the pcpc 850sli because the cpu can only be driven off of one rail right?

This is what I have(6701), and it has never let me down. At 5HGz starting Spi drops the 12v rail from 12.11 to 12.10(DMM) for a split second then right back to 12.11v. :D

quite true BUT @ 7.3ghz that is almost 100% oc no amd athlon 64 is near that kind of OC when we start see benchs @ 5ghz with an athlon64 you will lower SPI numbers :fact:

Apparently the OCZ Powerstream didn´t want to die alone...
It killed everything that was connected to it (P5WD2 Prem., Intel P4 670, 1GB Corsair 5400UL ES, WD Caviar 200GB SATA hdd).

I´ll go and order a PCP&C 850W PSU and give that PS 600W to salvation army.
