I dunno...i think grayskull is calling 'em on. "Just what are you willing to wager?" is what i hear...and "it best be good, or ya gonna have to wait."

like this maybe :DQuote:

PS I would not write off Sampsa and Kamu lightly, they are very good overclockers as well and would no doubt use Ln2 on both cards. In theory they should be able to beat macci's score.
They have to be hand picked cards, there is just no other explanation for that core clock. Macci knows his stuff but we're not born yesterday.Quote:

edit: but then again i maybe wrong and it might be cherry picked hardware. But i tend to trust grayskull when he says that its not cherry picked. Regardless I'd like to see Nvidea top that score with their 6800 ultras...
I would tend to lean on perfect contact and insane capacity. It was holding -84c -+1 and that screen shot showed his core clock at 904Mhz and the card core temp of -76c!
Dont forget about the CPU is also powered by the same cascade.
WoooooooooooW
thats good news for the future
should sell the old skool Sli Ultraas by now :(
Macci and Grayskull...
Can you give any info on what is needed to pass 15k ?? - Drivers will properly get better with time...
BUt...
Is it realistic to hit 15k in 05 with 2x x850XT at 700 / 650 mhz??? (Im gonna go for waterchilling at 25 degree's C @ LOAD...)
Well I was pretty happy when I reached 470 on core with water on my 9800PRO, 470 core HAH! Good work neighbour ;)
Well you were the one who said:Quote:

As far as I know, no other overclocker has the Crossfire hardware so it's pretty hard even to try to beat the score ;)
Just like me with A64 X2 4800+ CPU
Actually not just like you :nono: :D An X2 was tested under the cold a long time ago and it ran 266 2-2-2-5 @X12 (3180 MHz) completely stable on the Crossfire Edition motherboard. Maybe I should let Macci have a crack at PCMark while he's here.
Crossfire hardware will be available soon enough and everyone can take a crack at it. :D

Either way it is an amazing feat and not too surprising coming from Macci.
I haven't really pushed an X850 before - the AGP X800XTPE I've got has served me well for 3D runs so far :DQuote:

...but yes I suppose it does take a bit more than just the cooling and the Vgpu mod to get there... ;)
And it was a PC Power&Cooling 850W PSU.
Loved it - will be there again sometimes this summer :toast: (<- big beer from Tapa-apat :D)Quote:
PD: Did you enjoy your stay @ Barcelona? I live there actually, just curious 'bout your impression of my city
Any dates yet when the public can grab one?Quote:

Any back up to this? If I grab a PE (currently have non-PE maxing @ 755 fully modded and running approx. -50C under load) and throw it on LN2 fully modded but can only grab 850-875 you'll exchange cards? :stick:Quote:

BTW once again macci awesome runs! :toast: Any chance of running 01 or 03 in the near future or just gonna hold off?
LN2 really is the 5h|t :)
Great work macci as always, but isn't time for Dothan and a X850XT PE AGP now? :D
I was wondering how you had such a small TD :p:
Thanks for clearing that up.
crossfire=ownage
FUGGER's avatar=more ownage....haha
as long as hes on your cooling, it shouldnt be a problem.
Yes, I hadn't realised you were on LN2 as that was not mentioned before I posted, I was under the impression it was under cascade. It's interesting to note how well the cheap TSMC 110nm process overclocks compared to the more expensive low K 130nm TSMC process ...given enough cold.Quote:

also macci said he is might brake 01 with a dothan and a x800xt, is crossfire not giving enough or is it because the x850xt are slower mhz by mhz than the x800xt??
I don't think ATI would want to spend any time benching pre-release hardware on an old benchmark;)
Hang in there someone will show us very soon what it's really capable of.
