I measured the vgpu, and it seems to be 1.41v. I thought the XL´s were 0.11 running lower voltage than the R420´s?
The RAMs aren´t even hot. About 40c .. must me undervolted or something.

Anyway im gonna vmod it tomorrow. Would be nice to have 500/550 with silent aircooling. One thing is for sure.. im keeping my XT PE. XLs are no good for benching.

what Ram has it got though ?

damn you're lucky...my ram won't even do 570 w/o artifacts and that's with a vdd mod @ 2.3v and ramsinks + good airflow!

Hehe... still have plans for the 6200 ATM. I've got a VF-700CU coming in for that. That'll probably get a vmod first, but I'm really bad at that stuff, so I'm going to probably find someone reliable to do it.

To cement my #1 status in '03 and '05 (gloat) :stick:
I'm gonna' put the XL under DI this weekend. Unfortunately if the GPU is under DI, I have to leave the CPU air-cooled, so about 2760mHz will be the max, but with '03 and '05 it should be enough for 7K and 14K.
I'm HOPING for 600/612......... 492/612 now on AIR with Silencer4
Also may bust out the win2K HDD for some '01 action, but with the DI on the CPU rather than the GPU.

Ok so how many mods did you guys have to do? cos on the 9700pro's etc you could do one simple one for the gpu, but for the memory there was about 3.
so er yeah, pictures of you're soldering handy-work would also be nice :)

Considering my CPU clock , GPU clocks and the fact i'm using XP , i'd say I'm confident ( sure ? ) I can get 30k easily with this card !

True, and he might have some better air clocks if he gets his hands on the ATI silencer. If he can squeez some more outta air, who knows what DI can do. :eek:

yes, only change was the w2k and went back to the 412 drivers instead of 502 ones.
