so finaly I moded my card with 100k VR for ram a flashed the ultrasparkle BIOS.so I´ll post my result today.I hope I´ll can reach min. 750MHz
Don't worry, you will go even more than 800 with 2.75V.No need for more voltage. But cybercat reports using 3.4V.I would not go so far, though.Quote:

Gonna try that. I have been unable to get any single other BIOS to work.
Thanks.
Yes,right. nvflash -4 -5 -6 seems to be compulsory.simple nvflash -newbios does not work after completely erase eeprom.
For those with Sparkle cards, doing the vmem mod,a variable rezistor of 50kohms does the same thing, since there is no voltage increase till about 30k.
Any particular BIOS you consider I should try? I've downloaded all regular 6600 BIOSes from MVKTech.
Well, for me Asus and MSI worked well. But if any of these bioses work for you, that means Sparkle Ultra moded bios that I linked in this thread, should work too.And is the best for overclocking the memory.Quote:

butt i have 256mb card.
right now i´m using 2.9V butt my crapy card won´t do more than 620MHz  so how far can I go with V on ram???
Did I get it right? 620 not 720?Quote:

Do you use Sparkle Ultra bios?Forget that your card is 256Mb.But try to use it since there is no difference between the original bioses.Just don't pay atention to what quantity of ram is being reported.
For me more than 2.75V doesn't bring any improvement, but Cybercat reports that he used 3.4V.
Looks hard to believe that you can not overclock your memory just because you have 256.
Or try to change timmings on the fly with nTimings.Input the ones from the Ultra bios.

hi
can you help russian modders to make voltmod of memory on asus N6600 (AGP 128MB Samsung)??
we have all datasheets of all chips :)
as you know asus has not usuall design, and because of it we have such problems
also we're not electricans :(
i changed timings, but it's no results, maybe 10-20 mhz
now i have 675mhz memory,
GPU voltmod is not the problem for us :) but as i said with memory all are more difficult
ours record, made by PSIX is 800mhz, but he has Sparkle card
PS sorry for bad english :)
Specification for hynix 3.6 is 2.5+/- 5%.Think you can go up to 3V if you have ramsinks, but I doubt will improve things.Quote:

Well,as I said before,we are not hardcore moders. We use a mod made by a russian guy for memory on Sparkle6600AGP.Also the Ultra bios is posted by the same guy.We need to thank him for the wonderfull job.Quote:

There might be something for you here:
http://www.vr-zone.com/?i=1915&s=1
Is the voltmod for Asus6200PCI_E.If AGP card controls memory voltage in the same way through LM324,you have the mod.If not,try to ask Shamino at VR-Zone forums, cause he is in the job.
Good luck!
beware to flash the Sparkle Ultra bios, especially if u've done a vgpu mod before...
yesterday im curiously check my Leadtek@Sparkleultra 6600's GPUvolts..n it's read 1.9volts!!
before flashed, it's already @ 1.6v
after flashed i didn't checked it, coz i thought that the changed bios doesn't affects the gpu volts..
Thx god my card still ok this time...it's been run @ 600 w/ 1.9v for days, w/ stock cooler!
i've used a temp mon, n it's 50 Celcius@idle, n 68 @full load...so i thought that it was okay...
so now gpu ran @600 w/ 1.7volts only..n the temps@idle reach 45 Celcius only
so Seaman, is this why @600 ican't see any artifacts?
For Sparkle cards, the Ultra bios does not change anything about the voltages.
It would be interesting to know what this bios change in other cards without a volt mod.
So wedfighter please tell me:
-what is your card voltage without voltmod(2D and 3D)-original Leadtek bios
-what is your card voltage withhout voltmod -Sparkle bios, and Sparkle Ultra
Anyway,a 0.3V increase looks to much, for just using this bios.
Curious about what are you vcores.
Sorry Seaman, but this likely an uncommon issue n looks like my vgpu regulator went bad since i've raised too much, somtimes it read 1.65 n somtimes it goes to 1.75 or even 1.9v
or maybe because my pencil mod si not stable anyway?
just try to repencilled, n it is fixed!no more anomalies or somthng strange w/ my gpu volts
i set the voltage to 1.65, n it's stable till this time (w/ Sparkle Ultra Bios)..
btw my default vcore is 1.35 w/ Leadtek BIOS, dunno w/ SparkleUltra..
Your voltage is like Sparkle's voltage.I have 1.36 in 2D and 1.41V in 3D without voltmod.
You should have measured before repenciling to make sure your voltage increase is due to Ultra bios or due to penciling.
I tried nvflash -e and I got the same results.
Tried all possible BIOSes (even ones that didn't require neither -6 -5 or -4), and all I get after flashing is a garbled POST screen, after which the only possibility is to almost-blind flash back to stock.
Anyone else has experienced this?
It sucks not to be able to even try a different BIOS.
Well,it looks like you have to mod your own bios with the timmings from Ultra biosQuote:

Did you flash Ultra bios,as it is,with 500/700 clocks?What happened then?Quote:

There is a revision 02 bios for Sparkle-256Mb at MVKtech.Don't know if something is changed with this new bios, because compared in Hexcmp it looks identical with the older one.But you can give it a try.
I tried it but without any inprovment.so I use ultra BIOSQuote:
