This is something I am speaking to the manufacturer about when I see them. I have a lot of questions like this I need an answer to - I hope I can sort out the warranty situation, certainly the new units I buy (the GT's) come with the usual 12 month warranty. Its nice to know there is some official backup now, this doesnt help the majority of people in your position however, I realise. If you can send me the emails you stored I will check your case over personally.

Not that I'm aware - I know that Hardware Gods are the exclusive distributors in the US, I also know that a couple of other stores, Kit-Tronics included had old stock kicking around.

I will divulge some new stuff, just as soon as I've cleared it with the manufacturer. I shall start a new thread.

Actually, its possible they might have something to do with the new LGA775 cpukit, but I'll find out.

I have just bought a brand new Mach II GT from Phil over at Extreme Prometeia, and have to say that it was a great feeling!!

After spending £550 on a unit that has no 'officia'l warranty, I'm not the least bit bothered!

The support from Extreme Prometeia is first class and the news that the units are going to be sold again soon, fills me with Extreme Pleasure....

These units are top notch and clearly the nest "freezers" that money can buy!!! Woohooo to nVentiv and the "new nVentiv" :) Oh yeah, and woohooo to Extreme Prometeia!!

You can forget NVentiv warranty, unfortunately :(

But, most of the Prometeias faults are easy repaired by someone with some phase-change knowlodge - here in Portugal my friend Ricky already repaired and improved lot of then..

In fact my broken MachI unit, is now much more powerfull after pass into Ricky hands ;)

The most dificult part can be the electronic components in Mach II and GT (in the rear of unit, that handles the startup process an control the speed of the fans), but you can use the fixed unit withouth it - just have to start it manually using a seconde PSU.

If you are an UK resident, maybe Phill over at Extreme Prometeia have a repair service for non working units sold by Nventiv..

For other countries, reparing broken Prometeia units can represent a good business oportunity ;)

I wait for an answer from Phil about that though... but if it was like what you said... :(

It's only a Mach1 BTW, no electronics for startup involved ;)
What's killing me is 2 times shipping costs, repair costs :( ...and maybe the mod for vid card cooling ;) (additionally I know 99% for sure the leak is at the evaporator inside the enclosure)

I'm very glad that you're happy mate I hope to see some serious overclocks coming my way soon :toast:

Reference the warranty, you have 12 months, and it is official :cool: I already had a customer with a faulty GT, it turns out there was a problem with the fuse box - I shipped him a brand new unit under the warranty, and he's a happy customer, so you see the warranty does work :)

They went under in the first place because they were 1/3 owned by a company in bad debt. That's what I was told.
