I don't have it. Try to back it up from your other BIOS chip onto USB stick with EZ flash if you can.

Why wont my Z87M-plus or my Gene post with generic HCH9 samsung rams? Mem-ok doesnt help either ....
Also, why was my 4670K much faster at 1mb pi than my 4770K with same clocks, same ram ....
:(
Not enough info there to answer why. You'll have to give a breakdown of what you tried and how the system was setup etc.
Thanks master sham
The comment on super pi you should be able to debug yourself. Check memory timings and core frequency and any other related performance parameter is lined up during the run. Your posts are very brief in nature my friend - nobody can piece together stuff so easily from a distance. Even when you are frustrated, you need to lay out a post and describe everything you did and how. This kind of stuff is down to you being able to match up the parameters so I'm going to leave it up to you.
As for the Gene not BOOTing those DIMMs, which slots are you using? Changing DIMMs can be finnicky, if it was a swap out the IMC seems to hold on to training from previous DIMMs at times unless one is very careful in how the system is defaulted (have seen it happen). Old Samsung is not a good bet for clocking on Haswell thus far. BBSE/PSC still rule, while newer Hynix and co are good too.
Slots 1&3 are better than 2&4 on these boards as well.

Raja,
I would like to ask you a simple question. I want to buy a new motherboard. I was between the two models. Hero and Sabertooth. These motherboards are significant differences found between the area of overclocking?
I have 4770K :)
Thanks:)
Hero might be a bit better on the memory side. CPU is limiting factor most of the time, though.
Few images from quick OC session. Lol, I had not much time to study Haswell (busy time few weeks), so the results are not the best...August will be great month for home OC....
At the beginning was only dark...

btw still looking at how to make x-talk cancellation voltage beneficial on stability....
any guides on what ranges or is it more a cpu multiplier thingy.
Check Shammy's guide for that. He gives you the usage ideas.
Raja - that is a great guide but so much to take in, when chasing 24/7 overclocks which voltages can be used to assist stability and allow lowering of vcore?
My current cpu isnt anywhere near as good as every second guy seems to get here but its the best of the three I have owned. It primes 4500 at 1.30v under full water cooling and has been delidded. Mobo is a Maximus VI Gene and I using 2666c11 Trident-X rams.
:D
Keeping the cache and DRAM ratio low is one way. Other than that, you aren't going to get a lot to trade against Vcore.
yup understood sir, always seems to go back to the drawing board with 2133 C7.
xtalk up to 1.1v, vccin down to 1.75v so far so good with prime.
going back to test again with my 2200 and hopefully with this will give me some insight in getting closer to 2266C7 stable and then to 2333 C8
btw why mem tweakit gives higher score for lower tREF. shouldnt it be the other way around??
Yeah that should be reversed. It's just a "fun" thing that score, so take it with a grain of salt.
