Wowzers, this was totally unexpected. I never thought I could do 1300MHz and pass SuperPi 32M. The bandwidth sucks because of the loose timings but I was just trying to see if my IMC could handle the raw clocks.

I have no idea why but I can't get any of the settings I posted that passed HyperPi32M to do so now. At first I thought it was the BIOS as I updated to the 2xxx versions and was having extreme difficulty. I rolled back to 1404, no dice. I even went back to the version I was using for all the successful runs, 0018 and still HyperPi32M either errors out or more often than not, I get a BSOD. This isn't just with one kit either, NONE seem to want to do what the did before. I hate to think my CPU degraded somehow but that's the only explanation I can think of...
It's not looking good for the 3930k. I put my G.Skill RipjawsZ in my P9X79 with the 3820 and they passed 1200MHz 10-12-11-28-1T-147 like normal.

Hi there!
Anyone with Gskill RipjawsZ F3-17000CL9Q2-32GBZH (4GBx8)?
I´m trying to get the best compromise with speed/stability 24/7 for my RIG (signature), and as I am not an expert, I ask for help.
I set this settings:
http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/659...0807115248.jpg
http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/8...0807115304.jpg
http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/3...0807112301.jpg
and only boot when Ive reduced CPU Strap to 100!
Are not good values for these mems, and what I ask is, the best correction for the settings.
Thanks in advanced!!
Special Thanks to "Shiranui Gen-An" and "hokiealumnus"
if BCLK between 100 and 108 (approximately), strap must be 100 (and ram to 2133MhZ)
Can you run two different sizes of memory on X79? I already have 16 GB in 4x 4GB. Could I add 4x 8GB for the other channel if they are roughly the same speed memory? Or does all the memory have to be the same. Looking for over 32GB but 64 GB is much too much. 48GB would fit the bill.
In other news, I did determine that my 3930k degraded and needs more vcore for the same CPU clocks as before. I lowered the GHz a little and managed to get my RipjawsZ to pass 12xHyperPi 32M at 1200MHz 10-12-11-28-147-1T like before.

Hynix at 2400mhz, 10-12-10 and 1.50v (Domintor GTX8), could be stable at 2400mhz, 9-11-9 (or 9-xx-9) and 1.65v?
Thanks
Good question. All you can do is try it and see. I'd go for 9-11-10 first.
Yes but I would not buy them if they are worse than my current Ripjaws X (2400 to 9-11-9 and 1.65v) :D
I don't think you're going to find any sticks better than those Ripjaws. That's some highly-binned BFR.
Hynix BFR are worse than the PCS? (in general, it is 9-11-10 I believe with good BFR)
Yet 2400 C10 to 1.5v, should be stable to 2400 C9 and 1.65v
But I'll wait a feedback of users that has these GTX8 :D
EDIT: What is the best performance Between 2400 C9 and 2600 C10?
I suppose that 2600 C10, it requires more voltage VCCSA and/or VTT?
Hello
Has anyone mounted the fan (G.Skill Turbulence II FAN) on a Rampage IV Extreme and a graphics card in the 1st slot pcie?
How did you do for the fan (fan support) does not touch the graphics card?
Thanks
Not easy going lower than 11 on tRCD and hynix and 2400
Keep ur ripjawsx till next year probabily you will need them.
Ok thanks ;)
A solution to the fans G.Skill on the RIVE (with CG on the first slot)?
What was there next year?
Thanks so much
I managed to put fans G.Skill (I modified the fix)
So with the fans at 70%, it's stable with HyperPI 32M, at 60%, I get errors
This is a loss of voltage or need a good cooling?
Thanks
probably it's the voltage.
Vdimm or other?
Thanks
u have to test if ur cpu can do it first at 2400 with stok and higher vtt
1.test cpu with loose timing and 2400 with stock vtt and find the right vtt voltage for system.
2. start test memories at 2400 and go tight slowly
I tested with RipjawsZ (2133 9-11-10 at 2400 10-12-11) and it is good, so or RipjawsX do not like quad channel, or require more voltage (but what)
Thanks
So I tested with OCCT and it is OK with RipjawsZ (2133 9-11-10) at 2400 10-12-11
But I get errors with RipjawsX (2133 7-10-7) at 2400 10-12-10 (although it is OK with HyperPI 32M at 2400 9-11-9)
The settings
Vcore: 1.29v (4.5Ghz)
VCCSA: 1.05v
VTT: 1.15v
Vdimm: 1.65v
PLL: 1.80v
The ripjawsX do not like quad channel in h24 (stable OCCT, LinX, etc ...) it's just good for bench?
