no I will not lay off. he pretty much said he does not think any of the companies have an issue with the registering of their names and he also implied this is just a big conspiracy to disparage AquaTuning . . .

I will give Scamps credit for having insider info into Aqua Tuning. Since he does, maybe he can step up and explain why they registered the names of other companies without their permission?

If I am not understanding you then I apologize. Please clarify. Your previous statements seem clear but then we might have a language barrier. I appreciate you are probably communicating in a second language on this forum so you deserve some latitude (I sure in the hell cannot post in German).

You stated to know any posts of reps of these companies elsewhere where they are complaining about ATs behaviour. I would really really really just like to have a link to it. Not more, but also not less.

Yup, the bosses at Aquatuning have told the employees to not tell anything, they all give non answers.

Personally I have decided that aquatuning should go burn in hell, they won't get any money from me anymore.

I just hope the other online shops will jump in on the opportunity and start to stock the stuff you could previously only get at aquatuning.

You think we need AT to get LC gear in France, in the UK, in the Nehterlands, and even in Germany ??? NO. AT is one possible provider, just an online retailer, just that and nothing more. AT could disappear from the surface of the earth and XS would keep rolling with new builds as usual, made with components bought legally all over the globe OK ?

Again, as I just said in a post above, the aim for AT has never been to sell components under their own name, but to trademark those components in order to be able to sue anyone else selling them too.

Well, since you are so "in the know" with Aquatuning, then I wouldn't think it'd be hard to show these "exclusive" contracts AT has with Swiftech, D-Tek, Danger Den, et al.

In fact, I'd have thought that'd be the first thing AT produced on their forum and in others where this issue has been brought up.

Instead, we get stonewalling and no answers from the company in question....and I seriously doubt AT could produce these "exclusive" contracts if they had to.

Now explain to me why they registered the names of the companies. Please explain exactly why. And are you saying they are the exclusive distributor? Of which exact companies. Let's get into specifics.

Seems to me that AquaTunings "spindoctoring" position here is that if the companies don't "complain" it's perfectly ok for AT to do something that any reasoning human being would see as highly unethical?

The ONLY thing I could see to justify what AT is doing is if this was done "in ageement and upon the request of the companies who's names have been trademarked. Since NOTHING to this affect has been shown, it's pretty clear that AT is doing this in order to corner the market in those regions in a HIGHLY unethical manner.

They just opened a support thread in Germany (LUXX) and maybe they will open one here too if you ask there. They were very quick with the german one, so maybe you can ask to open one here too. Then you could discuss the issues with them directly. As they are such a big global company now, I bet they would do that here very quick too.

I just confirmed with DD they have not had a contract with AT since last Summer and AT did not have their permission. They also have been in contact with their competitors who also have said they did not give AT permission. Lawyers are involved who are familiar with the clown who caused this as they dealt with him when he pulled the same crap with the Blace Ice branding.

I wouldn't call trademarking all the major LC companies in all of Europe customer friendly. That only has one use and that is creating a monopoly to increase prices and profits.

Don't worry - it was meant ironically at the moment, I don't like that "global dominator" blowup either now that I have read the story and see no actions. :)

The best thing to do would be to wait for the big boys to finally speak out and perhaps stop buying anything from *ahem* until this whole mess clears up. Buying anything from them now is not wise, regardless of whether we think *ahem* is correct ethically. Why? Becos if they have a barrage of potential lawsuits coming up, and their pants get sued off them, they may just disappear off the radar...before shipping out the orders...

but one thing's for sure, I've not seen a company attract so much malice from the WC folks before...not even Thermaltake and Koolance (in their alum days)

Nowhere on the Black Nickel or Gold plated product pages does it say "Koolance" and you won't find them in the Koolance section either. Scumbaggery at it's finest IMO.

But u know DD almost did something simular with Thermochill.

No vendor B4 H2o got all bloated, was allowed to sell thermochill in the US unless it came from DD. :P

That is in no way at all similar to this.

DangerDen was the North American distributor for Thermochill. This is very common business practice and there was nothing shady or backhanded about it. Come on Naekuh, that is just being ignorant.
