Great work with the case!
Congratulations!
Thanks for the kind comments and words of encouragement Guys. :)
Hi Mike,
I'm afraid I don't have a part number for you - I bought the bit from a place called HD Supply here in Vancouver. I took a couple pics for you in the hope that it may help you find one:

As I recall, it was about (or aboot as we say in Canada) $75
Project Update: I'm deep, deep into the bowels of the "slight twist" part of this project. I hope to have news and hopefully a pic or two in the coming days.
In other news, I'm in the process of setting up a new workshop/photo setup. This is no small task but the result will give me a lot more working room and greater lighting control. This should make for better photos without the need to correct the white balance of 3 different light sources. I'll try to get some pics of the new space and it's "special feature" in the coming days.
The lucky Zen Frog sends his regards - He's a bit bummed tonight having had money on the Cardinals.
Cheers. :)
Can't wait to see the slight twist ;)
"slight twist" ... Can't wait :D
Wow. Clean and simple.
What will the displays display?
Charles, how did you make the edges of the cut out holes black? I don't see any bare alu, did you paint the edges or something?
Gotta say its looking good that water cutting gives a perfect finish.
Thanks for the comments Guys. :)
Yes, it's a special paint that matches the anodizing. :)
Project Update:
Still wrastlin' with the slight twist. Sorry there's no progress pics yet - all will be revealed in due time. :)
In other news, I received the three custom PLED cables from Matrix Orbital. Unfortunately, they were thicker than I wanted; especially since they'll have sleeving. Nothing a little minor surgery can't fix...

After sleeving, these puppies would be too rotund to effectively conceal.

Under the knife...

We got a bleeder!
hehe, just kidding. :)

Now to do the other two. Thanks for looking in. :)
Naked pics !!!!! We might have to report you.
You just love to tease us, don't you :)Quote:

Nsfw?
Nice razer, care to link me to it? :)
the blade looks like a x-acto, more specifically this one http://www.xactoproducts.com/ProductDetail.asp?id=169
I have to agree with you there Shazza - I have a feeling that most of his time is spent pondering how best to tease us whilst still coming up with a worthwhile post :yepp:
As usual it is great to see a little more into what you do Charles - the "extra" things that you do....just remember to keep those updates flowing so I don't go into withdrawals :D
Yeah, they're some really nice updates...great teasers, lol...anyways- I had to borrow your idea for using frame backing for templates...but because Foam board was on sale for like... 1.76 a sheet (20*30*3/16in) I picked up those instead (as opposed to ~6.50 a sheet of framebacking) next lazy day I take it's going to be partially spent doing design, trying to figure out my sidepanel layout for windowing
Come on Charles! We need more M|M :banana::banana::banana:!
*cough* UPDATE! *cough* :D
Thanks for the comments Guys. :)
I know an update is long overdue. Without boring you with details, I will simply say that the sLight Twist is proving to be more of a challenge than I originally thought. Unfortunately, it's the kind of thing that can only be revealed when complete which is why there's been no progress updates. I'm optimistic that there will be illumination in the next few days. I'm also hopeful that the wait will be worth it.
So as not to appear empty handed, I'd like to share a link to one of my favorite websites for those that may not have already discovered it.

Inspiration galore up in there!
Cheers. :)
Very nice project indeed.
Send it to Cebit ;)
