I highly doubt that, maybe in 18+ months. The top 3 items alone will likely run $2000 on their own ( if we are talking 1366 ). A more realistic total would be $2800-3000. And who knows by the time Nehalem launches NVidia may have dethroned the X2.Quote:

I suppose they x-fire connect via the chipset, bypassing the crossfire connectors.
While AMD might have already built a system with 4 HD 4870X2s on it, that doesn't mean ALL are used for gaming purpose -hey, 2 units for quadXfire gaming while the other 2 doing some crunching or hardware transcoding, that makes sense, correct ? :)

well, I think it's possible, but it would be stupid to do so.. each gpu waiting for it's turn would be highly inefficient.. it would be more like "round robin" with more than 2 gpus.Quote:
